so happy I switched from Boat US (raised premiums dramatically ever since Geico butted into their business) to Progressive. Progressive only charges $30 per year for on water towing and trailer coverage is included!

Progressive wasn't less for me, which surprised me, given that I have 3 cars and 4 mopeds with them. They also keep spamming me about switching my homeowners to them, and they're $300/year less than what I currently have.

Maybe it's just my state ?‍♂️ My auto insurance with them has been unbeatable, I check all my policies once a year

FWIW, my premium with USBoats/Geico dropped after my first year, and they have remained level and cheap. They did go up, but the towing/trailer assist became included - total cost went down.

I have progressive, but have been looking at a Bimini trip and they won't cover the Bahamas. So looks like I'll be switching insurance if I ever do Bimini. Theoretically it's within 75 nautical miles of mainland US, BUT they specifically call out no coverage in the Bahamas.

That's not entirely true, IF your boat is greater than 26' that disclaimer no longer applies. Which my boat is obviously less than 26'. Also depending they may still not cover you as some folks have found you need to have 26' AND multiple motors. I see their logic.
