Engine limits rpm to 5200rpm. 2020 Yamaha AR195

Supercharger intake hose came off!

after taking it to the dealer, turns out the supercharger intake hose came off!! Thank God it was an easy fix and they covered it!

Intake hose for the supercharger (The clean air from surroundings to the supercharger), or the charge air hose (between the supercharger and the intake manifold).

Just curious.

I recently had the 10 hr service done to it.( boat only has 26 hrs). I’m wondering if they maybe overserviced the oil or Didnt seat a spark plug correctly of if one spark plug just went. I hope this would be covered under warranty.

Doesn’t seem like it from the 10hr service or it wouldn’t have been fine for another 16 hours and then act up. Like HangOutdoors said, it happened abruptly when running good, so likely not from the service 16 hours ago.

Yeah It’s not from the 10hr service. It’s just happened out of the blue. The guy at the dealer said he hasn’t seen this happened since 4 years ago. He was shocked. But yeah that’s what it was.

I’m not quite sure. All i know it is located to the left side of the engine ( if you’re standing inside the boat looking at the engine view). I’ll get some pictures for you later.

Hello everyone,

I have a 2020 Yamaha AR195 that doesn’t run higher the 5200 rpm. It happened today when I was going full speed on the main channel in the river. All of the sudden, the speed decreased to 9mph and wouldn’t go higher even full throttle. After I got to a beach, i found a lid maybe like 4 inches in diameter but barely covering anything around the impeller. After taking it out.. the situation is the same.. boat would not go over 5200rpm. Anyone has any idea of what it could be?

I’ve tried searching the forums but couldn’t see anything related. Thanks for any help.

The same thing is happening to my 2020 and it’s coincidentally right after my 10 hour service. Hopefully mine is a simple fix like that. Do you happen to have a picture of the part they reconnected for reference?
