Finally got around to installing my GPS. Looking for a place that was easily viewable, and didn't block my views of any other instruments. Just happens that it fit in the cup holder. Modified the holder, installed 2" nylon spacers, cut a hole in the holder for the power/transducer wires and reinstalled the holder. Works great, viewable, and all instruments are accessible. Lost a cup holder, but still have 2 below the throttles.

Nice.

That is the cup holder that I use all the time. But I have also noticed that when a beverage splashes in that cup holder, it runs right down all over the ignition switches. So I think I like your use of it better...

I did seal up the hole for the cables so it so drains as normal. Didn't want water draining on all the electronics under the dash.
