GPS ChartPlotter install on a 2019 242 with the 12 inch Connext

I plan to do this too, I found two sets of unused connectors behind the helm with 12v so either will work for my chartplotter. I will check that they turn on/off with the battery switches too.

Do you mean those connectors? The label says DIAGS and DIAGP. I am not sure what are these; 2022 252S.

I need to connect the AIS and VHF radio but could not locate the accessory line connected to the switches.

My wiring harness doesn't have any accessory wires that I could find. I tested the few "empty" connectors and they were all diagnostic lines, not power supply. I wired into my 12v cigarette socket which is switched off with the batteries.

Those are not live 12v power - they're connection ports for diagnostics. For your devices which draw a fair bit more current than just a chartplotter like my setup, you'll want to run a pair of dedicated power lines (+ and -) from the battery switch and battery to behind the helm for power. Full power 25w VHF radios draw about 5-8 amps depending on design, your AIS is low power, so plan for a 10 amp circuit. I'd say a pair of 12ga red and black sheathed wire would do to get 12v and ground to the helm. Go bigger if you plan to add more electronics, and then you can put a couple of bus bars in the helm for connection points.
