Hello from Denton just north of Dallas Texas! Picked up a Scarab 165ID this weekend after spending hours lurking on here to educate myself. This is not my first boat, but it is my first jet boat and the amount information on here has been extremely helpful. Thanks you all for your contributions! Hoping I can pay it forward as the inevitable upgrades are made to my boat:)

Already going over her inch by inch for initial assessment...sorry for the crappy pic.Scarab 165ID.jpg

Cool little boat! Should be a lot of fun. Congratulations!

Glad to have you on board,
What lake/ramp do you plan to use?
I'm at point vista on Lewisville

@Scottintexas Was planning on Arrowhead, but looking forward to trying out new spots. One of the reasons we went with the 16' for easy mobility. I am not far from you just up in the Pecan Creek area off Post Oak.

@J-RAD Thanks, the fun factor on this thing is off the charts...it has the 300. It doesn't really plane as much as just leap out of the water!

Congrats on you new boat! You're gonna love it and many here do. And :Welcome: to the forum. As you know there's lots of great info here along with knowledgeable people to help keep you safe AND on the water.

Let us know if you need anything or want to do anything and take lots of pictures. We love pictures!!! Enjoy...
