Hello Moomba Makai

So the two things I took from my demo. One this boat handles 100x times better than my yamaha did. I was very surprised at that. And two the wave is giant. It blew me away. It's a monsoon compared to the AR195.

yeah, no kidding!

Next, you should try something with TWIN engines! lol

Give this a few minutes to get a better quality but here's a video of auto wake at 10.8 mph full ballast no extra weight. 4 people on board.
I think I need to start reevaluating my life choices. The wake is incredible looking... ? congratulations man! BIG step up.

Congrats man she looks amazing and the wave looks like butter! What did you think about being able to actually have a conversation while underway? Much quieter than your Yamaha :)

@haknslash @Arcadyus You two, lol, coming from your very loud s/c 190s. Hold your horses, you haven't surfed behind a Yammie until you'd surfed behind mine!!

Bring it on down to beautiful Lake Martin or Smith Lake sometime. We can trade surf sessions :D

My 192 was about as loud as I remember riding on the older 242 and 240’s. I know you’ve dampened your sound but inside the cockpit I can barely hear my engine and mainly just hear the water :winkingthumbsup"

My jet boat was louder than my harley with pipes or my dirt bike lol. Swats bring her up to WA let's surf homie.

For the $7100 I could put a supercharger on it and prob get more than 50 ft lbs more and prob cost less than the 450 upgrade. But I will prob never do that.

Just fyi, trying to upgrade after the fact thru Indmar isnt impossible but darn near. Noone to my knowledge has cracked the encryption on the eControls built ECM and Indmar isnt just selling pre flashed ECMs. Otherwise everyone and their brother would be upgrading their 400 to 440(zero hardware change, just software). They did release a .cal file for supercharged engines because of emissions though. So technically a guy in the know could upgrade to SC if he could acquire all the parts.

Handles great until you put it in reverse. Just always plan on docking stbd side ?

I have an excellent video of my dealer dicing the boat. No fenders and an inch from the dock. Was very impressive

The ecu can be fooled though. This kit does that by changing the analog values sent to the ecm for maf, o2, and air temp. Basically it ignores carb requirements and sends acceptable but doctored post cat values for a given maf and pre cat o2.

You may have an opinion on this kit and I would be keen on hearing that. Given your experience I would trust whatever you have to say.

Mainah, I didnt know those guys had a 6.2 kit. Ive only had one customer try one on a PCM ZR409(6.0L GM).

The Raptor released in 15 with a 5 year warranty so all motors in the "fleet" are still under warranty. So I shy away from anything that would show up us odd on a Diacom recording. Indmar often requests recordings for major breakdows/high dollar warrant items. Having a claim denied for aftermarket "power adder" isnt an easy sell to our customers lol.

So really I have no opinion due to no actual real world experience or data with them on the Raptor. What I can say is we run the 400 with lots of extra weight, full crew, full ballast at 5k feet and it performs fine(gotta drop some water ballast to get on plane for wakeboarding). I think it's all about prop selection. That and getting people to understand that towboats are the equivalent of tractors on the water. Top speed shouldnt be on your list if you are buying tow boats but some guys love to hammer down.

So I get the changed inputs. My question is though, what outputs are gaining that power?? Seems like the only way to make more power since intake air volume is fixed is to advance the timing and shorten injector pulse time. Running Advanced and lean seems like a bad idea to me in the long term, but I'm also not fully sure how that little dongle is working besides tricking some inputs.

I talked to dealer here today, who has the new Kaiyen on their lot, and they provide 7 year warranty on the raptor engine as part of all Moomba/Supra sales. No way I would risk anything that would void that. Those engines aren’t cheap! I did add a tune the my 5.0 F150 as soon as warranty expired and it made it really come alive.

Put 8 hours in her today. Last two surfed at full ballast 3 small dudes on the boat and me. No extra lead yet. I went ropeless way longer than I ever have before. Motor did awesome all day. At full ballast 3 dudes and a surfer my friends aren't there yet so they all hold on to the rope much more. My rpm from 10.6-11.2 never got over 2900. Was on the water from 11-9 and got the wicked sunburn to prove it. Boats broke in I'm putting lead in Saturday. Taking my sales team out tomorrow so no need for lead till Saturday.

You know you owe us some pics, right? lol

Sounds just awesome.

I only have docked pics. Homies phone always takes terrible video. Don't worry once she's dialed you'll see lol. Stock is decent but she really does need more weight. This Pic is the coolest and easiest way to tie a boat to a dock. @BABzUSA

Also one for laughs dude was charging his boat on the fucking ramp. Can't make it up. He was doing it with his truck. 4B012F7E-FACA-4A0C-8334-42B40D87ABB1.jpegDCB2B5E0-0ACE-415A-B9A2-65E05D8F9468.jpegEB1E8C4A-8451-4C83-8E81-31155914DFDD.jpeg

@Arcadyus wow 8 hours already! I know it's a boat, and if you're worried about fuel then don't buy one, but what type of fuel usage have you seen over the first 8 hours? Just curious how it compares to my previous boat.

The poor guy with the Prostar. Guess he hasnt figured out to give it the ol key bump in the driveway before he hooks up.
