So I'm looking at boat porn, and I run across a video that Alfred Montaner (Chit Show) posted from the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. It's a 22' boat modeled after a Porsch Speedster and is made in Greece (only 24 boats per year).

What's funny to me is that it is powered by a 155 h.p. Rotax N.A. engine. Comes with a standard 14 gallon fuel tank. ?

Not a knock on the 155 h.p. Rotax engines, but this is a $198,000 boat.

Nice looking boat but pretty pricey.

I wonder how they get it to 45 mph. Seems like a stretch unless this boat is super light. My 15’ Sea Doo Speedster has the same engine and tops out at 42 mph.

Someone will buy these boats but it won’t be me. $198k for a severely under powered single engine jet boat. Ridiculous!

I would sooner buy a 27’ Yamaha or 28’ scarab for a lot less money or in addition to a new tow vehicle for the same amount of money.

it’s all relative, I have a friend, actually my wife does, that has a Hermès purse. It doesn’t look like anything special or unique to me but my wife can see the differences between this $20k purse and lower end purses ($5k) from LV or CC.

I know I will never understand folks who buy this type of boat as I will never have that kind of disposable income.

On the other hand, I would like to be that guy on the lake with a SC Yamaha 195 or Scarab 195 that he want to race, and see his image in my rear view mirror! ?

Jim

LOL, ridiculous boat.
