Indoor boat storage $25 per month Fuquay Varina NC

I have been keeping my boat, camper and other things their for years. On average I go weekly during the summer and every other week during the off season. I have see the old lady twice. She’s alittle crazy but harmless. I have also gotten to know the other neighbor he keeps an eye on all our things.

Oh wow, that's pretty frequent. Still need to do a little work to the boat and told Pam I'd likely be by every now and again to snag it, but figured I needed to give it a month or so before I grabbed it after the run in with the old lady. There's definitely a ton of stuff in there so it's not like all the sudden stuff started showing up and she got mad people were using her driveway. Got the trailer sorted, bunks are all that's left, so wanted to get it into storage while my yard was dry enough for me to get it out without destroying my grass completely. Quite a few yamahas and other nice boats in there.

Haha you’re good man! Yeah, we painted it this summer. It was starting to show her age pretty good. The paint orange peeled more than we wanted but it’s better than it was before. Put new hubs and wheels on her. Not perfect but better than before

Man that's awesome! Yeah this trailer was in pretty rough shape when I bought it. They dry docked the boat so the trailer just sat out being beat on for years. Replaced the whole brake system(actuator, lines, calipers, pads, hubs, bearings, seals) they had a jet ski winch on the trailer....swapped that, better bow stop roller, new lights on the rear.....which found out one of the new brake lights apparently isn't working. The bunks need to be replaced, but once I got the trailer safe I wanted to get it into storage and out of the weather. Tires are also dry rotted. I have new ones but figured it didn't make sense to put new ones on just to put it into storage. Still have a little work left on the boat, but it was in pretty good shape. Need to replace the stock scupper valve, and replace the sound deadening in the engine bay.

I'll wait until it's slightly warmer and pull it out and do the rest. Likely a full weekends worth of work ahead of me still. I'd like to replace the wheels, but holy crap I've already sunk $1400 into the trailer alone.

I was looking at the same thing with my boat when i bought it. The trailer juat sat in the weather and rotted. I bought an aluminium ibeam trailer for.about 3 k and sold my old rotten trailer for 1200 bucks. I could have sold it for 1600 if i had known how much people are looking for those trailers. The net effect is i have a new aluminum ibeam trailer for the same moeny i was going to have to spend on my old one.

And the trailer came with radial tires... torsion axels... led lights... premium wheels and much much beefier than the old mfi trailer.

Wow, that's awesome! I looked into a new aluminum trailer and quotes I got were about $3900 without trailer brakes. Figured I'd fix this one up, ride it for a season, and then get a new one and sell the old MFI. Do like the MFI trailer though, it fits that boat like a glove.

I didnt buy a mfi trailer.. i cant for the life of me remember the name brand i bought... it got it from collins marine in smithfield. @Betik bought one from them and towed it back to texas for his boat. Once u put and after market trailer beside the mfi trailer u start to see how cheap they were made..

You are right it is hard to remember the manufacture r LoL. Mine was out of the door $3200. Surge brakes, aluminum rims with radial tires , LED guideposts etc. everything is great and the only complain I have about it, it is that is Long. I will still buy it if I had to do it again but these trailers have a very long wheelbase. My old set up tongue to end was 26feet. The new set up is close to 31 feet. The wheels are also positioned further back than shorelandr trailers that I had which means besides my rig being 5 feet longer the front wheel is probably 6 feet further back.
There were certain conners which I will just turn without looking at the mirror and it would be just a smooth turn. Now it is more like a breath holding moment and constant checking.

The axles are adjustable but it would prob take a shop to do it so they can rerun the brake lines.

I have thought about it, but I am not that desperate yet. I think I will get the hung of it.
My real problem will come if I end up having to store the boat on a 21foot garage :banghead:

Damn that's a good price for all of that.

Load rite
Man that looks good! Yeah my trailer is trash compared to that. LOL! How much does your aluminum trailer weigh? Eventhough I'd imagine it's longer than mine I bet it isn't any heavier. Mine allegedly is 880lbs.
