Wow i was in meetings for the last 3 hours and just caught up on the thread.

Id love to know more about Island Girl an the jet skis if anyone has an update.

Glad everyone is safe!

The earlier the better for a crossing We were in set groups The storm rolled in in between groups (I feel that way)
We were briefed on what could happen at the captains meeting
No one went in blind
we knew who was in our group. Luckily when I fell behind because my handle bar bag with my electronics broke, people from another group kept me with them
I have never ever gone so far beeping.... I had no idea what that ski was capable of!
I still carried 10 gallons of fuel even though I haven't had to use any in the past
We all learn a thing or two from reading these threads
Thank you again to @Betik for running fuel out over and over to boats you have been a true hero!

From our group i didnt see any 19 footers signed up to go.

To make this in a 19 footer takes a special person. @swatski did it last year. I know me personally would never attempt it. Not into pounding waves. When 300 pounds leaves a boat seat the coming back down hurts. Definitely do able safely. But not with me in the boat.

100% love this group. Everyone on the trip worked together and those of us who wathed kept each other updated.

Best damn group on the internet hands down.

The FSH are far more capable of absorbing the blows because you can stand on those boats and they have a forgiving seat to catch you. After hearing how some people damaged their towers and windshields pounding waves in larger boats on this crossing, I can say I don't think I'd take mine lol. It's much harder and more cramped to stand up in a SX/AR than the FSH.

I'm interested in hearing from anyone with a windshield issue. That has come up several times before, but only when the windshield was closed from what I recall. If you had a windshield issue was it closed?

I hate to be a debbie downer but try as fast as you can to get a flight to Bimini, from what I hear the runway will be closed for repairs from Tuesday at 5pm through Friday at 5 pm.

How did you get in touch with Sea Tow if you drifted that far? Were you not that far off of the coast?

Bill's wife, another members wife and daughter are flying over tomorrow since they couldn't make the crossing. Might want to try and get on that flight. I think she said it leaves at 11:45.
