As far as use in high seas - that is tricky, dropping the tabs increases the risk of stuffing the bow and taking on water - when climbing big waves.

I agree totally anything over 3 foot you ride it out bow up and hang on.

is there anyone else who will be sending family back on Saturday via the ferry to Miami? Im trying to figure out where the ferry leaves from. I would like to send my wife and child back via the ferry.

The ferry leaves from the Resorts World Pier.

This is the forecast. I would suggest a 10:00 departure

My tabs were fully deployed on Monday. That created a lot of splash but no bow stuffing issues.

I am sending my family on the Saturday night ferry. I will find out and let you know. I already booked tickets

I have been to Cycle Springs as I was searching for a place to buy my boat and my limited one day interaction with them was great. They are what every Yamaha dealer should strive to emulate. Hats off to CYCLE SPRINGS.[flag][flag][flag][flag]

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with these guys. They were not straight forward with me when I was considering buying a boat from them. Long story short, we agreed on a price, then they started getting slower and slower with their responses, then finally they tried to increase the price they agreed to by $700. Not cool. Even though I live in Sarasota which is much closer to Cycle Springs, I ended up buying from Riva in Miami. They gave me a better deal and were upfront with me the whole time. Worth the drive!

Sounds like CS is mostly good, and my experience is hopefully an isolated one. Good luck out there!

thanks. im on the FRS- Caribbean website and when I go to book tickets for 7 PM is the only option I'm being given I don't see an earlier ferry

The Captains meeting for the return crossing will be at 7PM at the infinity pool.

We talked about the departure around 11 am with @fromrio and @Amar Nanduri. Is there anyone want to return with us @11 am Saturday?

We was thinking the same... is it free for all on the returns? Lol.

Hopefully not. Try to form groups. There is merit in it.

It is much safer to cross as a group. I strongly encourage you to return in the same groups that you arrived in. We will have a Captains meeting at the infinity pool at 7 PM to discuss the return crossing.

That's correct. We booked the same

A flight might be more convenient as it would be from South Bimini and may have a better schedule.

The forecast has grown a little but does not look bad.

all booked for the 7pm. We just need to figure out the logistics of getting them from here to the terminal

agreed, but the flights were a total of $400 more:mad:

They will need to take the water taxi to North Bimini then find a taxi or the Resorts World shuttle to the ferry dock. I would send them with mininal luggage.

The return crossing is forecast to be pretty good. If I was going to spend $400 I would stay another night in Bimini for an even smoother Sunday crossing.

If anyone went home with a Standard Horizon VHF last night, I'll buy you a cold Kalik for its safe return.
