Lake Cumberland meet and greet!

1469284324770731268782.jpg We are about halfway in what i believe to be difficulty creek on the east side.

Had a wonderful time meeting @sfog and his 2 (3?) Crews that went along!
Swimming and drinking and grilling.

I DID have to cut my anchor loose. I told you it was set good! Must be caught on something down there like a tree or something but it was NOT coming out with Susan and me pulling on it every which way. I was doing a squat thrust under the boat pulling the rope through the eyelet and it just stretched the rope a bit is all.

Have a great trip!

Since we were all packed up to go down there, but i couldn't get off work on Monday, we went to a campground only an hour away from us on the Ohio River in Carrollton, KY. It's nice to be camping, but I wish we were in Cumberland.

Thanks for putting the meet out there, we all had a great time. You have an awesome family! That sucks about the anchor, was hoping that was not going to be the case.

Looking forward to next year!

Just had dinner at State Dock Lodge.
See a Yamaha in the parking lot 20160724_110424.jpg 20160724_110428.jpg 20160724_211609.jpg

Thats about half of the ones on my phone

We visited:
76 falls, the dam, mill springs, conley bottom, clifty creek, the hatchery, 2 ice cream shops, difficulty creek for the raft up, state dock for going up to Lire Lodge for dinner, stayed at Jamestown cottage and we didn't hit a LOT of spots i wanted to!
We really wanted to hit up wolf creek and the new fishtales resteraunt.

Every day we had a turtle visit when we broke out the grill on the boat.
We walked through a couple nice houseboats. We didn't even get to tubing or wakeboarding! My parents did well and were wore out from my crazy kids.
