I'll be checking Lake Cumberland off my bucket list Early June! Renting a cabin near Conley bottom. Any tips for boating on that big lake? Going to upgrade my Lowrance to the latest maps and bring my fishing gear!

In early June the water should be pretty clear of debris, just keep an eye out for the occasional bigger floating tree. You are staying pretty much center of the lake so I would pick one direction or the other to go each day. Maybe one day hit 76 Falls and the dam, or if looking to party go to Harmon Creek in that same direction.

Definitely hit a gas station and fill up the boat before getting on the water. Gas is almost double at some of the marinas.

Thank you for the advice!

Conley Bottom is a nice marina, with the water up you shouldn't have to worry too much unless you go up white oak creek (couple of submerged islands with high water levels). Lees Ford is worth a ride up the lake on the upper end, they sell beer and pizza on the water at the ship store and have the inflatable launcher set up for the kids. Also have the Harbor Restaurant next to the lake and floating cottages literally on the water (attached to the dock) that you can rent. If you go towards the dam take a map, not too bad but the lake gets pretty wide near the mouths of Otter Creek and Beaver Creek. The lake is at full pool now and will likely still be that way in June. Watch for the go fast boats on the lower end if you go that way, and the bass tournaments on Thursday and Friday nights. It's a Great Lake to play on.
