Lake lanier gathering june 29th 2019

Adding @giroux68 to attending list.. had you as interested before. Looking forward to this. Wondering if we can convert shelbyville SUP race to a STUP (standing tube race)

@Roswelloms and @Wisefam22 I feel left out! I was out there yesterday and saw a couple of friendly yammies but I didn't see y'all. I'm still a maybe. It all depends on how life will be like with the new baby!

Side note, I went to scout the location yesterday and when I got there I thought that it sucked. Seemed narrower than I thought it was going to be, and very busy. Turns out I was at 2 mile creek, not 3 mile creek. That is what I get for navigating by sight and not using the GPS!

@tabbibus dont feel bad for me... or left out... tomorrow will be 5th day in a row at ball park for my kids. Season is ending soon. Closest I have gotten to lake recently is driving over it.

Once ball season is done though, every weekend and most evenings.

Also saw a 2017/18 Yamaha parked in my friends neighborhood when going to do his pest control. Had to stop and tell them about boards and invite out. Hope they will check it out.
 
Who had mad drone skills to film at this event?

@Jameson Clark it's considered "south end" at cruising speed its prob 10min south of port royal max. Shoal creek, van Pugh are 2 pretty close and both very nice camp grounds.

If you Google lake Lanier 3 sisters island will pop up on the map as well.. the picture I posted is zoomed in a little closer is why I labeled it.

Well, Shoal creek's reservation site forwards you to the Margaritaville which is booked and Van Pugh doesn't allow campers over 26'. I'll keep looking.
 
Wish I had seen this earlier. Just getting out of hibernation. I'm in Cincinnati but my brother lives in Cumming. We have been on Lanier a few times on his pontoon. My sons baseball is interfering with your dates. Bummer.
 
OK, scratch that whole "hoping to attend" mess I was talking about. I have missed too many of these in the year I've had the boat! Just booked a campsite at Shady Grove Campground for the weekend. Put me down as a definite! See y'all in June!
