Just thought I would get a thread started to keep up with the things I am working on.

I've got a list as long as both my arms of the stuff I would like to do so I'll try to update regularly with photos and info.

Round #1 of parts on order currently:
- 48" guide posts
- Slick Stick guide post cover in black
- Oil Catch Cans (Amazon Special - didn't seem necessary to throw more than $25-30 at something as simple as an oil catch can)
- Lucky 13 Pump Cones
- Riva Racing Intake Manifold Upgrade (Ribbon Deletes)
- RIva Racing Blow Off Valve Kits
- Riva Racing Vacuum Port Adapter (to avoid drilling the manifold)
- Jet Boat Pilot 3D Registration [HASH=93]#s[/HASH] to match my interior
- Stoltz Bow Roller
- Flame Arrester conical style air filters to get rid of the ariboxes

Round #2 coming soon - the wife insists that I fix the stereo quickly.

Do you have pics of the cone filters that replaced the airboxes?

Not yet. Haven't measured and purchased any yet.

@jacoviii used this one for his air box removal though, it that helps.
Spectre Universal Clamp-On Air Filter: High Performance, Washable Filter: Round Tapered; 3 in (76 mm) Flange ID; 6.5 in (165 mm) Height; 6 in (152 mm) Base; 4.75 in (121 mm) Top, SPE-9136

My guide ons and Slick Sticks came in today and I found enough time to install them instead of working. ??

Those are nice!

Thanks. I had never even heard of Slick Sticks until they popped up in a Google ad while I was searching for guide ons. They’re a little pricey but I thought they looked good too. My wife thinks the light on top will help her back the trailer in straighter….. fingers crossed it helps.

Those look interesting.
Do you think they could damage the gelcoat if your boat gets pushed a little sideways due to current or bad steering coming into your trailer?
That is what I would be worried about.

I don't think so. The rub rail should be the only thing that contacts them. They are really no different than the pvc covers that come with most guide ons.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

How do they mount?

They separate into 2 pieces and fit together around your guide on posts. The wiring runs down thru the posts. Then there are 8 screws to clamp them onto the tubing with. They’ve got some plastic ribs inside that crush when screwed together to hold them from moving/spinning.

Do you have any picture of how you mounted the guide poles? I could never get mine right.

I can get some.

Here you go.

When I mounted them my thought process was:

1/2 width of boat
-1/2 width of trailer frame rails
+ 1in

and then set my vertical posts that far off the frame rail.

It's probably a non issue, but I don't like them mounted above the rails like that. I have mine mounted underneath the rails.
When I went to install mine the first time, I mounted them like you did, but it always seemed to me that if the current or wind pushes you just enough, the bow of your boat could get scratched on the end of the square tubing.

The bunks are higher, but its one of those things I wasn't comfortable with.
These pics were prior to me adding the guide pole covers also.
