My Unusual (Alternate) Dual Battery Setup

I put 200 amp ANL fuses between the positive terminal and positive cable on each of my batteries.

It is a really simple setup. The fuse is connected the positive terminal. I glued a 1/4" or so bolt to the battery creating a second terminal on the other side of the fuse to connect the cable to. I keep spare fuses in the boat but have not had to change one after 3 plus years of having the fuses in place. That should stop any short that would damage the batteries. I have fuses in my two house circuits. My amps are only fused in the amps.
