Purchased my 242X from a broker last fall. I was happy to find that the previous owner left this wake wedge in the ski locker.

There was also a bag with these three aluminum bars in it, but I have no idea what they're for. I've watched Wake wedge installation videos and there are no separate components from what is pictured above {So the bars are unrelated).

Does anyone recognize these from anything?

They do look like they were fabricated. I've checked all over the boat and can't find any holes that were drilled anywhere for an installation.

They might be for supporting the tower when lowered. My boat should have had something like that, but were missing when I bought it used. I remember looking on this site for what they should look like if I wanted to make some.

As correctly stated above, they're for supporting your tower when it was towed from the factory.

But...

They can also be used for threatening people when they
- wear shoes on your boat
- bring new and unwashed swimsuits
- bring a snack bag of cheetos
- want to go back early
- complain about your playlist
- break out a can of spray-on sunblock
- attempt to make any drink that has food coloring in it

LOL - @anmut that is truly a frightening list. I'm sure those were all added out of experience.

Friends who just bought a new boat, and this past weekend, he had to stop back by us where they tied up, because "she wants the bumpers put out"

Me: it's my pier, and I NEVER put them out when tied up, as it's sheltered.

Him: yeah, but if anything happens, you know I'll never hear the end of it

Me: but she was fine with taking HER Bloody Mary on the boat with you guys?!?

🤣🤣🤣
