I'm picking up my 15' Boston Whaler in a couple weeks and planning on a repower. What is the best engine to use in terms of parts availability, optimizing fuel to speed ratio, low(er) noise, and cost?
Are Yamahas good?

Thanks!
Greg

Assuming we're talking outboard?? If so Yamaha's are great. What does it have on it now and what is the max hp it's rated for?

It has the OMC... No on outboard and not sure what the HP is. I want to say 115 HP.
Looking at a repower but starting to find out that new or refurbished engines are a little higher price than I thought.

You have the Rage. I spent alot of time on a 15' BW in my early 20's as a dive boat. It had a 50hp Mercury. There are repowering threads for this model on the web. RAGE 15 Jet Re-power - CONTINUOUSWAVE

Note that outboard lead times right now are WAY, WAY longer than typical from the factory due to high demand + global supply chain issues. If your dealer has the right outboard IN STOCK, you might be OK but expect to pay a premium over typical pricing because of the current supply vs demand situation.
Good luck!
