Official/Unofficial JB What's For Dinner Thread

Looks great! I need to start cooking other meats.

This is from yesterday on the boat. I cooked bacon in a skillet then cooked the onions in the bacon grease until sweet. On the burgers its angus beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, onions, and barbecue sauce.

The ribs are baby back ribs in a traditional pork dry rub and slow cooked in a little Apple juice for 1 hour and then directly on the grates, and basted with apple cider vinegar and orange marmalade.

I've gotten good at cooking for 6 people on the boat while drinking. The girls know the drill and set up a burger assembly line ? Sorry for the bad picture quality, my friend tagged me in it and then I cropped it.

Flank steak with seasoned white rice, red beans and side of corn.

Made fried corn cakes to dip with this tomato sauce I made with pieces of Vienna chicken sausages over rigatoni.

Breaded steak with swiss cheese and ham sprinkled with parmesan.

This is a burger border from Boss Burger. Has sliced pork, chicken breast, burger and bacon. Gut buster....

I havent been cooking anything crazy because I'm trying to lose the summer's beer and red meat. So its been chicken breast, vegetables, yogurt, granola, etc. I have to look presentable for when I fly south of the equator for more summer ?

But I need to cheat a little.. so im making sauerbraten. I have a beef round roast marinating for 3 days in this marinade

Marinade:
Red wine vinegar
Water
Salt
Pepper
Sugar
Cloves
Onions
Bay leaves

Which after 3 days I will slow cook for at least 3 hours, remove the roast, strain the gravy, and then add gingersnap cookies to the gravy. Im not sure what I will do for a side because the traditional potato pancakes and egg noodles aren't exactly healthy.. maybe ill just season and bake brusselsprouts

Here are some other meals

First picture is from place for breakfast and lunch only called NQC. Its French bread with egg onions hashbrown bacon with chipotle sauce.

Second picture is Pizza from a place in Miami since 1955 Frankie's Pizza. Would go there as a kid with my parents. Place isnt close and doesn't deliver so when ever I go South I buy one or two.

Third is Kraft Mac and Cheese with ground beef. I found a second ingredient I would never thought of using but gives Mac and Cheese a different flavor. Can of cream of corn mined in with milk and cheese. Kids devour 2 boxes and 1.5lbs of ground beef. I eat what's left

Fourth is ground beef in tomato sauce with Gnocchi and garlic bread.

Just threw 6 racks of baby back ribs on the smoker.

Having a rib cook-off with some friends today, and I have the home field advantage.

Christmas came early, neighbors brought over some korean ribs!

Went all out tonight

Home cut fries skin on heavy seasoned with TJ cuttis garlic powder and Mc cormick shawrma seasoning.
Top them with Mac cheese with extra milk and 5 shredded 5 blend cheese.

Used same cheese to wrap seasoned blend hot dogs in Hawaiian crescent roll.

Needless to say kids loved it.

Our Daughter and our grandchildren came to for the weekend. She love crap cakes. So I had to make them. I served them over rice with a slice tomatoe and sauté asparagus and broccoli. The only downside was when she left and my rice cooker went home with her. [flag]

Fired up pizza oven to clean it and ended up making dinner.

Made some roasted corn and some flat streak I had. Walked away and in less than 10 min is was done.

Also, nigjt before made steak and fries but then my som wanted me to create sandwich. Had pre made Venezuelan corn cake that i stuffed with the steak. fried cheese, home cut fries and then topped off with egg.
