Post Your Summer Boating GoPro Shorts

Here is link to my latest water related video, an 8 minute compilation of clips filmed on a gopro, quad copter, Olympus hand held and iPhone. This covers about 80% of the boating I did this year, I couldn't find any raw footage of the other 20%.

BTW, As I'm posting this it is pouring rain outside and I am still recovering from my first snow boarding trip of this season, a full five days later, damn I miss hot weather, it's going to seem like a long off season.

The thing I always notice reading/watching your posts is the relationship you have with your son. It would be very hard not to admire that. Good stuff Ronnie!

People always look at me like I'm crazy for always grabbing the GoPro. Perfect example of the great times you can capture and relive forever. Sometimes you don't realize in the moment how lucky you are or how much fun you're really having. Taking the time to put these type of videos together is a great remind of both of those. Great job and you seem like a great dad! Congrats on doing it right. Your kids will pass that mentality down to theirs!

Ha. I see you are a professional like the rest of us. At the 40 second mark I can see the splash of your ladder being down.:)
That's a lot of memories you can recall as a family many years from now. You and your wife will look at each other and say "Remember when the kids were younger?"

Not my video but I did just ask Santa for one of these boats for Christmas! :)

Great idea @Ronnie I usually delete my footage and videos right after I post them next year I will have to keep the final edits to make a year montage I love it man!

Finally made it out on the boat this season, the boat ran perfectly but I don't recall boating being so tiring, I think I'm just getting old. Here is some footage and pics of my first two outings this year.

In hopes of keeping Ronnie from dominating this thread, I will have to share my first fishing video here. It's sort of lame as i was working on editing down a regular fishing series. But the fish were not cooperating with our lack of fresh bait.

It was still good to work some stabilizer out of the fuel for the lake season. And running the river in a 20' Jetboat is always a blast!!

This is my first attempt at putting together a video. I have to say, getting the footage needed is much harder than I expected. Lol. (Also, double check that the date/time on your cameras don't say 1/1/2016 :banghead:)

Other than having a time/date stamp, I would have never guessed that was your first attempt. Nice work! That went together well.

I hope we see more this summer!

Thanks @biffdotorg! Those stupid timestamps... Managing multiple cameras was a learning experience. I've since turned the stamps off.

Great video, loved the fireworks reflection in the gel coat!

Man, it looks like you guys had the whole lake to yourselves!

@Trevor Shipman ,

Great video, I appreciate how difficult/time consuming it can be to put one together, especially when the footage comes from different cameras.

Nice lake, there are not any like that around me. If there were they would be very busy.

Is the Vest you are wearing a comp vest or is it coast guard approved? I've been looking for another pull over but need one that is coast guard approved since they do a better job of keeping me above water and don't get the water patrol riled up.

Thanks @Ronnie, yeah is coast guard approved. I forget who makes it. I've tempted to purchase a comp vest bc they just look so much better, but in the end not worth that 1 in a million chance. I'm going out tomorrow, I'll look who makes it.

And yes, taking the time to pull out the Mavic (as awesome as it is) and the time to pull out the GoPro but in the end post it on YouTube and you'll have those memories forever. We have a "boys" trip to the same lake in July and I plan on being much more dillegent about taking videos.
