Raleigh Area Lakes. Jordan, Harris, Falls.

Man, August was such a bust for me and boating.... Labor Day Weekend coming up and weather looks good. Right now, I’m planning to be on Jordan Sunday and Monday if nothing falls through. Maybe Friday this week too if I can swing it.

Assume some of you have plans too...

Should be on the water @ Jordan by 10:30-11am tomorrow. Probably up in farrington area... at least 1 other boat and a bunch of kids will be out.

Sweet! We head up that way too. Looks like we won't make it out there until the afternoon Sunday though. We go under the bridge and hang out by the wooden overlook. We'll have the in laws as well as our little boy. Should be out there about 1-2ish I suspect.

On my way under Farrington bridge. Someone fucking hit my boat in my wet slip.... damage and torn mooring cover.

Ouch that sucks! We didn't get out there until close to 2. Saw a yammi running around with a tube. We anchored over by the lookout, ate lunch did some tubing, and by the time we were done with that it was time to head home.

Was back out today and water was really smooth. Great afternoon out there. Pulled boat out of the water with the storm headed our way.

Anyone know of a good fiberglass repair shop in the Raleigh area?

Thinking about hitting Kerr lake on saturday... maybe the last time we go out this year... maybe not. This has been the slowest boat year since we bought the boat in 2015. Anyone else going out?
@Eric Ballard @AndyD ?

We would love to go to Kerr this week, but the boss is away on a ladies trip, so I do a boys boating day on Jordan with another boating buddy and other ditched dads. We plan on making more trips to Kerr so we can explore it further. What a large, beautiful lake. Hope too see you guys again, either this season or next. Too early to talk about the end of the boating season !

Auto Marine services in Garner is one that has been rec'd in the past to me . I haven't used them, but I did visit the shop last year. The detail guy I asked rec'd this place too.

If auto marine service is off of hwy 70 in garner then that's the people I used to fix some damage on my boat! I was very pleased with them.

That is them.

Was out on Jordan lake this past weekend for our first outing in the our New to us 2008 AR230. Saw a 240 series and a 190 series out there/at the ramp. We typically launch from Seaforth when we go to Jordan. On Friday afternoons I go to Harris with my friends for water sports. This is much better lake for water sports than Jordan as it is calmer and less traffic. Who else visits these lakes?
Took my 20' I/O there last year and enjoyed it for a day. I'll be back with my jet next summer I hope.

Welcome aboard. There are quite a few of us who regular Jordan.

I wish. It can't come fast enough. Granted it has been a very warm winter, but still haven't managed to pull my boat out of storage and mess with it. Need to get it out and start prepping the floors to lay down the mats.

I think it is. 70 degrees on Richmond. I think I'm going to bring my boat up from Florida late this month. It's supposed to be an early spring.

I was out on lake Norman yesterday it was really nice out.
