Sounds like we'll be sitting out tomorrow. Wife doesn't want to deal with the crowds. Part of the reason we went out is to get out, but get away from people. Hard to do if you're jammed with people at the ram and it's lined to the road to get in and out.
I was kinda bummed I was I the middle of changing the bearings on my trailer and couldn't take it out this weekend. But now I am happy cause I dont want to deal with all that mess either.
I heard from a few boating buddies that lots of boats came out of storage, and apparently went right to the lake. With gas prices this low, it is likely to be this way for a while. I think we may pull the boat up to Kerr lake more often . We only went once last year, but was impressed with its size and excellent ramps.
The other areas of the lake were closed. There was a ranger stationed at seaforth. He said to pay attention because they may be closing the ramps tomorrow as well. Today may be the last day to get out for a month or so.

Whats good on Kerr? Its on our list to do, but never been up there? Any ramp your recommend going to, were newbies with a newborn so we are quite the show at the ramps
Hopefully a temporary closure? According to ncparks.gov Jordan Lake ramps officially remain open, but may be closed at the park ranger's discretion.
I can understand closing the beaches or even hiking trails if people aren't keeping their distance from one another, but boating seems like a pretty easy way to ensure you're not close to other people. Other than those *in* your boat

We put in at nutbush in henderson and we cruise all the way to clarksville virginia. U can dock there and eat. Then we cruise back and swim. It is a large, large lake!

Welp Jordan is officially closed after today. Sounds like the public ramps may still be open, but can imagine those will be an absolutely nightmare. I imagine they'll all be closed soon like SC is.

I dont know when I will have the boat ready, but as of now, Kerr looks like the place to go ! We launched at Nutbush last season. Hope its open when the time comes to hit the water.

My boat is still at Chatlee. 10 day wait on white gel coat to fix the area someone hit in my wet slip. Hope it comes in this week. Crosswinds is open for those that keep boats there so that’s good for me. Other than 1 time on Falls Lake, haven’t been anywhere else. Have heard plenty of good stuff about Kerr
