So... I have sucked up my share of ropes, but never had this happen and I can't find any reference on the forum that it has to anyone else. Wife was in the water and I was backing down from the beach. All at the same time the stbd engine died, the stbd throttle slammed forward and she yelled ROPE! I had a stern line coiled up on the swim platform and without checking I didn't realize someone had pulled it off to hang on to.

No big deal, I went to the clean out and since she was already in the water so I sent her to the intake grate. I loosened the rope and told her to start pulling it out "it's not in the intake" Well there is rope all over the impeller, and it's still attached to the cleat so... that's when it hit me that the throttle had slammed forward. "Check the nozzle", sure enough it went in through the output nozzle. How the...

Am I the first to get it backwards like that? 🤪

Need a picture of that cant even understand how it could make its way into the out put unless someone fed it in while the motor was off.
