Hey fellow switchers. Anyone have issues with making right turns. My 2025 has a lot of resistance on right turns and I want to know if it is normal? Nothing caught up in the engine externally. Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome!

Not many Switchers here yet. Glad to have you!

So, when you say 'lot of resistance'--do you mean it is hard to turn to the right (but easy to turn to the left)? Or that when you are steering right it doesn't turn as well that way (not as sharp a turn, takes more wheel) as it does to the left?

Thanks for the welcome aboard. It doesn’t turn as well to the right at speed (28-30mph). I initially suspected something was binding, but couldn’t find anything. It turns just fine when operating at lower speeds. Thinking it might be a torque issue?

Welcome aboard!

I recall a video review that someone did, maybe JBP where they commented at speed it turned sharper in one direction than the other. Not sure which side, but it does sound torque related. Let me see if I can find the review…

Edit- Think this is it.

Thank you for the video. It is weird, mine is the opposite of the 21’ in the video. I’m going to check the ballast arms. That would def be an issue at higher speed turns. Might run it solo ( no pax) and see if anything is different too. Again, thank you. If you come across anything else, please share. I have a lot to learn about jet boats.

I am betting it is the torque effect. You have a single engine--twins can mitigate some of the effect. But even with my two my jetboat turns better one way than the other (better to port). Fits with the better at low speeds, too...
