Shoreland'r Trailer Tire Pressure

Doesn't over inflation cause uneven tread wear as well (I.e., in the center instead of the sides)?

Not radials, not at 10% or moderate overinflation. The tires will still be showing a little flex in the side walls (radials that is, not bias ply), and the contact/tread will be flat. So no, it does not.

Tread does not wear much on trailer tires anyway because they mostly just roll (that is why rotation schedule is based on time from production, not mileage). Unless underinflated and dragging - all bets are off.

Another benefit of max inflation is a reduced chance of a blowout due to contact with objects, they will be more likely to bounce off of the tire.

P.S. Also - talk to a cyclist in your local riding club, see what they say about undeinflating tires... They don't pump them hard as a rock for fun. Most of them don't anyway :)

@swatski
Still talking about tires????

Just follow the max ratings on the tires, have them balanced and be done with it.
