Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Were you able to mount your tower speakers? I am interested in seeing an AR250 with the tower speakers mounted on the smaller pipe which doesn’t have a clean run down to the base of the tower. It looks like the easiest path is to fish the wire through the larger pipe on the front of the tower.
Well I decided to go with fusion ra-770 head unit, 4 -6/1/2 inch kickers. 2 - 8 inch kickers. 2 - 11 inch kicker tower speakers with horns and a ROCKFORD FOSGATE t-1000-4AD amp. Should be ok to start. Things ad up quickly. I can upgrade later if I want.
On 195s (less headroom than yours) I went with 4 8” towers. If I had your boat I would start with 2 10’s then maybe add 2 more. If money is no object - either the kicker Horns, or the WetSounds rev 10s
Do you have 8” Kicker Tower Speakers? If so what’s your thought just looking at one pair. I don’t need to be the loudest boat on the water. Did this help at all in the boat as well? I would want to utilize the swivel mount so when at a sand bar I could turn them forward.

The kicker towers perform really well. Love the swivel mount! Just be sure you are giving them the amp support of 150w rms each. Give them enough power and the mid bass really wakes up in those speakers. One pair KTM8s originally worked just fine for me - I ended up adding 2 more only so I could enhance the experience for water sports over the engine noise.
they will allow you to hear inside the boat better for sure while under way,, but putting an amp to the cabin speakers helps a ton for the under way in boat listening.
If you want to project and really get loud kicker is now making an 8” horn btw.

Last question, should I add two more cabin speakers (up by the driver and passenger seats) or go with these towers? I guess my question is once you put power to your speakers, can you hear it well when cruising without your towers. This is really want I want to accomplish, the towers do offer a little more flexibility. However the towers are way more expensive than just adding two more cabin speakers. I am adding an amp, which has plenty of power, so that is not really a concern.

On a budget- If the goal is listening inside the boat- add powered cabin speakers, if the goal is sandbar listening- go with the towers. I really only turn on my towers for water sports and sand bar.
Same here I was after cabin quality at cruise and only added the tower cans as i got a GREAT deal here on the board and the towers made a big difference on the hatch cover and swim platform behind the boat... I purposely did not put speakers in the bow seating area. I may add two more 8" tower cans when I get the stripper pole done...
Wetsounds head and remote $300
NVX Class D WATERPROOF amps $700
6 x 6.5 kickers $350
2 x 6.5 kickers & tower cans $150
2 x 10" kicker free air subs $400
so $1900 total... rounded up... and i did it in stages.. over the last 6 months
It’s an 06 210. I’ve since modified the Bimini, but here’s a pic of before, with the stock Bimini setup:
Here’s the new version, where I modified the stock frame and canvas to attach on top of the wake tower. Got tired of hitting my head on the Bimini when getting in and out of the boat from the swim platform.

I picked up a pair of the 11’s also. Can you share a pic of them installed? Was curious if you can get access to the back upper tube so they can be out of the way when you stand up?
