Super charged 2019 AR190

I was taught to resurface all of them but that was the OLD DAYS !!!

So, the entire motor needs to be replaced, looking for a used 1.8l motor or a ski with one would work too if anyone knows of one for sale.

think I’m going to forgo the SVHO.

Do you have any more detail on what's happen, the root cause, what's been damaged and how?

They said the motor over heated to a high enough temp to burn the oil, which then took out the lower half of the motor. Guessing when the casting plug popped out of the exhaust and the over heat alarm came on, that’s when it went to 300+ degrees. Still waiting to see if Yamaha is going to cover it, but I’d say my odds are under 10% so I’m just planning for the worst.

Owch. Had to be pretty hot to trash the lower half of the motor...

Owch. Had to be pretty hot to trash the lower half of the motor...

renters were on the boat when the casting plug came out, no water was going into the motorfor who knows how long, I’m sure it got really hot.

I flushed the motor after wards but didn’t realize it had done this or we could of saved the motor, took about 20 - 30 hours for the rest of the damage to show up.
