Guys,

This airbag recall is the biggest in history. The issue is the sheer amounts of people affected. The companies are having difficulties getting to 2nd owners, and maybe even 3rd owners. There are also issues with vehicles that have been repaired due to accidents with defective equipment after they have been through the recall.

The airbags are basically claymore mines. They will deploy, and shoot shrapnel towards the driver/passengers. That shrapnel is killing people that happen to be in accidents when the accidents themselves have been survivable.

Please if you have a vehicle that you think could be affected by this recall, call your dealership, or go to http://www.safercar.gov/ and enter your vin number to see if you are affected. If you are a 2nd or 3rd owner, this should help as well.

I understand why and I'm not saying that they are wrong to recall these things, but the statistics dont add up to the scare. Only 5-6 people have been killed by these defective airbags? I mean sure 1 person killed is one too many, but they are recalling 12 year old cars??

The statistics just dont add up to me.

I don't want to roll the dice!

It's going to take years to replace 34 million airbags.

I just checked and neither of our Nissans or the Dodge truck are on the airbag recall.
