Yes, I do. But, there is a loose ground connection on the trailer somewhere.
The folding tongue is also common culprit for bad/finicky ground. I would check that...or even better, install a jumper wire across the hinge.

I don't have a boat at home to check, but the folding tongue can be an issue and has been for sure. The pigtail on my boats, and not having one at home to check for you I may be wrong, but the ground wire actually attached on the hitch side of the fold, not on the bow post side. So as @maboat is suggesting, just getting the wire to the other side might help. I never had an issue with my '08 except for the 7 pin to 5 pin connection to the pigtail gave me some trouble, so I would check that too.

@PEARCE How was the lake?
It was gorgeous yesterday! We're out right now and it's even better since there isn't much boat traffic at all today.14947852889541433548942.jpg My current view.1494785359523-307340682.jpg

Looks great. Wish I was there.

I got the ground wire issue resolved. We now have lights on the trailer when you hit the brakes! lol Thank you to everyone for the tips.

Nice views you got there Pearce!

thats great travis, I replaced my old rusty ball with a new shinny one, and guess what? now i dont have no trailer lights, I guess i need to fix my ground. But i did replace my bunks and carpet yesterday, what a pain that was, I had to cut off all the old rusty bolts.

When I did my bunks, the bolts were rusty, but we could still get them out. That sucks you had to cut them! Your boat is not that old either!

Just my $0.02, but my ground was not associated with the trailer ball at all. I did all of my testing without the trailer even being connected to the ball. Figuring out issues on the trailer lights is a pain.

@farrelltravis I figured my ground was going thru the ball since it was all rusted,

hmmmm....well you are a lot smarter than me. I know you will figure it out.

It took me 3 days to figure out a wire had been torn in half. lol I am not the smartest crayon in the box. BUT, I fixed it!

My ground wire was bad where it is attached to the trailer toung below the coupler.

That is exactly where mine broke off. Dumb me took 3 days to actually notice it. Terrible!

I changed the 5 pin plug thinking it was bad then finally found the loose wire.

Looks like the rain will keep us off the lake this weekend.

That ground wire has to be the culprit over 50% of the time.
