Get them. They're worth it! I've had them on all my boats. I use Bennett.

Pros:
Gets up on plane faster (If that's a concern or if boat is weighted)
Great in chop (puts more boat in the water)
Helps balance boat (when everyone is on one side)

Cons:
Cost
Burns more fuel (depending on usage)
