WAIT, weren't you considering Bimini?

I met a guy with an ar190 at the lake and he had done it twice this year no problems. I'm watching the weather for this Sunday but not looking too good.

What I did notice was some of the smaller boats and jet skis cruising closer to shore. I guess this minimized the effects of the wakes that were much more severe in the middle of the river. @geiger41, when you head out in your dingy, make sure to video it for us. Should be interesting. Lol.

Finally did it! What a great trip. Would do it again in a heart beat!

Awesome...does not appear to be too much wake or waves in the photos..

Nice pictures. What day of the week was it when you went out? The conditions look very doable

The only "bad" if you want To call it that, areas were the mouth of the Hudson ( a lot traffic ) and on the Harlem river where it narrows down makes it hard to pass other slower bigger boats. We did not take any water over the bow. No debris, no coast guard, no crazy currents and as a matter of fact that weren't that many boaters out there.

We went out Sunday about 10:30am.

A little water over the bow wouldn't be terrible anyway, right? I am thinking that people submarine these boats so having some water splash over can't be too bad. I have to do this next season

We need to plan a Regatta around NYC for next season. . . . . .

It would be great get together. I kinda did it last minute due the weather not looking good in the morning and also I'm only 20min away from the launch at liberty state park.

I did Hells Gate, the East River and NY Harbor to Liberty Island all on a Sea Doo PWC. Now that I have upgraded to an SX 190 I'd be willing to try it again. More than likely during the week and at slack tide would be best.

Those are amazing pics. And here I thought going down the Chicago river was cool.

I did several trips from the Navesink (Irwin Marina) up through the Hudson to Haverstraw up through West point. Once you get past the merging Rivers you're fine. Oh and Yes, be very careful in the Harlem River. I had a 2005 Four Winns 268 at the time and ended up sideways because of some A**hole blowing by me in a yacht. Here are some pics from that trip. I am looking to do this trip one of these coming weekends. If anyone is up for it let me know.
