Bargains What A Deal!!!! <Post up Bargains Here>

I bought one also June 8th. They were on back order and had a expected shipping date June 15. Did you buy it from raymarine or did it redirect you to buy from Flir?

Mine was ordered through FLIR who owns Raymarine and arrived quickly. I have been playing with it on my desk and plan to work on a ram mount next week.

I bought mine from Flir on May 30th. It was on backorder then, but it came sometime last week while we were on vacation. It looks pretty awesome I can't wait to fool around with it

Thanks @Bruce and @Volffas. Just making sure. I was unaware that Flir owned raymarine. Hopefully mine won't be on back order much longer. Looking forward to seeing your installs.

For those wanting the Yamaha swivel wakeboard racks, now is the time.

In other threads, we determined that the original Yamaha swivel racks with the pull pin swivel was made by the parent company of Monster Tower, XTP. In fact, that monster tower rack was the same rack. It threw a few off, as the clamp was described as a 2.5" clamp, but worked on our 2 3/8" tower tubes.

I just placed an order on Overtons, as for the past week or so, they had 15% off, but then 20% off with a discount code, which expired yesterday. Well, they came out with a 25% off discount code today.

Overtons was selling this rack for $349 with free shipping. So with the 25% off it got it down to $261.75. I am assuming it will ship nearby, as they dinged me for tax. My total shipped is $280.54 for the combination Surf/Wake rack with swivel.

Do they not have a Surf/Surf rack? I can’t find it on the Monster site.

I have not seen that option either. It may be worth a call/email to them. As the forks would be easily interchangeable.

As soon as I placed my order with Overtons, they went on back order prior to the holiday. I was bummed as I assumed it was a horrible bait/switch. I emailed them, as order status is impossible on their site.

Without notification, the rack showed up shipped directly from Monster while I was on vacation at the lake. If I had known, I would have run back to get it. I am going to mount it tomorrow night. We will see if it truly is going to fit. As my digital caliper is telling me it's too big. I have a rubber insert from my mirror install. As it was not needed.

I hope it works, as it's a nice heavy duty mount. And I'm sick of leaving my surfboard on shore!

So I got the board rack from Monster Tower through Overtons. I had a chance to mount it up last night. As my digital caliper suggested, it is a true 2.5” and not 2 3/8”

This is not a deal breaker, as I always leave a dead bicycle inner tube in my tool box for just such an occasion. I split the tube and gave myself enough for about three wraps and trimmed it to the width of the clamp. It mounts up beautifully.

Now I need to find the proper location. As in the photo, this was too low, as it bumped heads when swung in to get out he lift. Up much higher, and it would get in the way of the Bimini straps. Since we don’t use the Bimini that often, and we can easily unhook the strap when we pull in and out of the lift, I will need to move it up.

The rack is a solid piece and probably the best bang for the buck on a Wake/Surf rack.

Quick edit. When I moved this rack up to the proper height, I took off the extension and forks to lessen the weight while mounting by myself. It exposed a set screw in the clamp that would easily take up any slack and lock that clamp in place. I didn't screw it in until I knew I had the location correct. But now that I have it mounted, I realize the set screw is not needed on my tower.

Walmart has all their water stuff on clearance. Picked up a new tow rope for $14. They had tubes and other stuff discounted for in-store only purchases.

I bought it. Thanks for the heads up.

I got the gps unit. I got an email that the transducer is on back order and if I cough up $89 they will ship it as soon as they receive stock. When I purchased , the receipt showed both the gps and transducer together for $314+. Anyone else got this email on the transducer to pay up? Thanks.

Is this on an a78 purchase?

Are they offering an upgraded transducer for the extra $89?

If it was a thru hull transducer upgrade for $89 I would jump on that.

It is on the A78. They are not offering an upgrade. They said they will ship the transducer that is part of the original purchase and it shows an amount of $89.99 whereas the original invoice shows $0.00

Mine came with everything. $89 to rush shipping after you paid for it is BS. If that would have happened to me I would have sent everything back.

I am going to have a chat with them. I have my original invoice that I paid in full and will show it to them.
