What did you do to your boat today?

I replaced a bad spark plug and ignition coil, thankfully before the plug broke apart sending shrapnel down the cylinder. The last time I had the boat out I noticed that the rpms on one of the engines was surging a little and maxed out at around 6k. I had the same problem at the end of last season so it wasn’t hard for me to figure out what the problem and solution were. I will be replacing all the coils along with the plugs during the next off season. At $110 each it won’t be cheap but mine have been in service for 10 years, and when they go bad IT SUCKS! I know from two experiences now.

I also replaced the flexible handle on the swim deck.

By law in most states red can only be rear facing, not just on the rear. Amber can be rear or front facing. This is for motorcycle, automobile, and trailers

Got this today from Mantus during their 20% off July event... For a new aft anchor to replace our really cheap danforth that wasn’t doing the job... Really wanted an 8lb M2 for the front but they were sold out so I’ll just wait till they’re back and on sale next time...A8049B43-1841-4495-B6BF-ADE8FE9DFF9D.jpeg

I picked up some molle panels to help organize the inside of my truck, and had an extra. Screwed it into the bottom of the seat for all the emergency stuff (including the extra emergency boston valve :))

Can you share where you got all that? Mainly whatever it is you screwed to the underside of the seat.

That looks awesome! Was just at Gaston last week. Didn't see too many Yamaha's.

There are more than you would think, especially on the weekend. It is a big lake. I am between MM 25 & MM26. Where were you boating?

The place we rented was near Goat Island, and we boated around that area as well as Washburn's. My buddy's house is near Grandma's or Bird Island.....depending on where you look it up, so spent some time over there in his cove too.

You were about 20 miles east of me. Got a friend with an AR230 near where you were, but I don't think he was out on teh lake.

I've hated the taupe bimini that came on my boat since the day I brought it home, never could understand why they paired that with a black boat that had a white/grey interior. Started to fall apart this season, and just generally looked a little gross. Swapped it for charcoal today, love it. Super tight though, so leaving it out for a bit to stretch.

Put in an MW1 so I don’t have to deal with the M502 single button any longer :)

Those are great! I put one in my Yami but place it to the right. I placed a Garmin in that spot.

@Dean P I looked hard at that spot but I couldn’t figure out how to get my meat hooks in there so I decided for the easy spot up top :)

Installed my new Cobra Fins. Anxious to get out on the lake and try it out. Hoping for improved slow speed handling. Will be a good test today with strong winds while unloading from the trailer.

Scrubbed the sea deck today.what a difference. Got these brushes from amazon. Takes all the work out of it . Also installed the stainless steel scupper valve. 20200812_124605.jpg
