Feeling very accomplished, as I've completed several projects on my trailer in the offseason.
1. VeVe guides
2. Boat buckles
3. LED taillights

Once I installed the new taillights, I had to back the car up and connect the wiring to check everything worked correctly. In that moment, I thought about just hooking the boat up and hauling down to the lake for a quick spin. Uh! Come on boating season!

My winter projects are still waiting to be purchased. Another JL sub, 2 more ballast intake fittings so I can separate my port side pump from the 2 factory pumps. A quick connect seat ballast bag port and another ballast pump.

Congrats. At the risk of sounding dumb, what are VeVe guides and boat buckles?

VeVe Guides are trailer guide posts for loading the boat onto the trailer without tearing up the trailer or the hull of the boat.

Boat buckles secure the stern of the boat to the trailer, instead of regular old removable straps.

Both are worth their weight in gold.

All of my winter projects revolve around the house...

Direct quote from my wife:
“We need to get as much done as we can while it’s cold out, because once it warms up you’ll be on the boat everyday”

Here's the VeVe guides

Just search for the boat buckles on Amazon. I through-bolted them to the frame of the trailer, instead of using the flimsy strap-down tabs near the trailer's taillights. It was a PITA to drill through the frame on the trailer, but those things are very secure now.

Thx. Did you buy the higher or lower guides?

And did you get the self-tightening boat buckles? They seem like a good idea.

I think I bought the taller guides because some of the ramps I put the boat in at are steep, so the guides would be below the water when the trailer is completely in the water.

The Boat Buckles I got are self winding, like a car's seat belt, but, It must be ratcheted down to secure the boat.

  • Install speakers by the driver and passenger area.
  • Install an amp
  • Install Thrust vectors
  • change oil

All i keep thinking about is completing my spring yard work as fast as possible so I can get out on the water as soon as the weather permits.

new speakers and an amp...oil done, need to add more grease and do a good check on around the boat for any loose fittings

Install Seadek, Add Wetsounds bar to tower, add sub and amp, noise reduction, ribbon delete(still on the fence about this one) man I better get started

Jeff_s, you planning on mounting your speakers lower down or higher up?
