Yamaha surf wake wedge reveal!!! Warning pic heavy

So, it can be alternated...is it doable on the water?

It can but it takes about 10-15 minutes with impact driver. Just too much hardware to do that easily.

That's one awesome wake. I recently stated surfing behind my friends nautique. I'd love to be able to produce a wake like that. That wake would put his to shame. My one reservation is that it looks like it's only good for one side. Can you place it on the starboard side for goofy riders?

LOL, yep...it was a long trip home and I wanted to get it posted. Too late now.

ETA on the new wedge mounting bracket 1-2 weeks. The tow hook is mounted at an angle and the other challenge is the lower swim deck. Also another small issue is we will have to drill 2 holes into the ladder bracket to mount. not a huge deal, I just want it to be known up front.

Let me know if you need a guinea pig for the late model AR240HO. . . .

Yes you can but we all surf regular.

Anyone else wondering how it would run with one on BOTH sides?

We tried it out, need a slight modification but I think I can make it work as well.

Was the wake any better/worse?

It had a rooster tail because the boards didn't meet exactly in the middle. The overlap created the roost.

We can also customize the wedge to a full wedge if folding isn't a problem for people.

I am 100% impressed.

That is a STEAL FOR $800 !!!!!!

A good Wake Surf Board cost $800!!!!

A good wake surf Boat ....over $50k

How well does it work without ballast?

How much ballast would I need to use it?
That's the first thing that popped in my head, what does it do by itself with one person driving and one other passenger?
I know it'll be better the more weight you have, but I would very rarely have more than a couple people on board and don't want to mess with ballast....
I'm not that into surfing and such right now since I'm the only one that drives the boat.

We will let you know with pics this weekend :) We already had ballast built in and never really tried it without

I am very interested in the wedge but would need something that is easier to change from goofy to regular. We are about a 50/50 split on my boat. If you can come up with an easy way to switch it and work on a 2005 AR230 I am in!

Great example of American ingenuity! *

Bravo Guys! Well done.

And I especially appreciate the fact that you are permitted to and are agreeable to share your idea/invention here, with other like-minded jet boat enthusiasts.

One day I fully expect to see this evolve into a full blown, electronically deployed, surf accessory offered by Yamaha to future boat owners. While you, of course, relax on an island somewhere with an umbrella drink in hand!

*(er, you ARE Amurican, arnt you?)

You could buy two, one for regular and one for goofy. At that price, it is still cheaper than buying a wake surf boat.

It may work on a 2005, we would just needs pics of the transom and a measurement from the swim ladder to the tie down hook. Also a pic of the ladder mount under the boat.
