Your first time there? If so go eat at Uncle Earnie's while you're down visiting and order the famous crab cake! You can drive your boat there and they have a nice dock.I'll be down there for the month of July. Planning on taking the kids to Shell Island, Crab Island, St Vincent refuge, and explore the area. It'll all be during the week away from busy crowded times. Blue Angels and fire work show will most likely be on the list also. If there's any other must see place please let me know. Thanks for posting!

Take the Intracoastal Waterway if you come to Crab Island. Will be a smoother ride. Also, if you are interested in Blue Angels, there are a couple jetboaters going and departing at different times. Here's the link already started if you are interested. https://jetboaters.net/threads/blue-angels-pensacola-july-8-2017.14156/I'll be down there for the month of July. We trailered our boat to Cape San Blas year before last. Really was a lot of fun. We were in the process of scalloping when we noticed the tide was going out. I could see a pontoon boat resting on the ground where they had anchored. The people were walking around it in just over ankle deep water. We were in the east end, near Black's Island. Told everyone to pack up, because I didn't want to get stranded. Yamaha had zero problem getting out of there. I got on plane and stayed there.Yeah I plan on getting around thru the intracoastal for a more comfortable ride. Also want to try scalloping in the Cape San Blas area...and getting there by intracoastal too. This is gonna be such a long week, just can't stop thinking about being there already!
@Coheeba, is the North Lagoon bridge the one where 98 comes across? From PCB to PC? We may be headed over there tomorrow for the fireworks and trying to find a good spot to put in (Im sure the city marina will be nuts) and anchor to watch. Any suggestions?I'll be at Shell Island this weekend. I may be spending the night at the island on the 3rd. We watch the fireworks at the North Lagoon bridge and party at the island on the 4th and then go anchor at Red Fish Pt. to watch the Panama City Marina fireworks .
