Avoid buying gas in NC if you can. Once you cross into SC much cheaper. Exit 181 is $1.82. If you hold out until exit 160 in Florence the sams club is $1.79.

Safe travels

Try looking for fuel when you are parked inside Disneyworld. I saw a gas station with at $2.98.

Don't be shocked when you get to Bimini, fuel will be around $4.75 to $5.00 per gallon, it is always about $2.50 more than in Florida.

SC does have some of the best fuel prices.

Do the pumps in Bimini take cards or cash for boat gas?. I think this is the thickest my wallet will ever be. Cash pfft.... so 1992

@hobineros

The clipboard that the dock master uses doesn't have a credit card reader on it...

Cash is king over there.

I suppose you could go in the office and use your card.

Blue Water on North Bimini takes cards, you just have to going into the office to pay plus there is a small surcharge for card purchases. Bimini Sands in the past took cards but with the new management I not sure but would suspect they would with a surcharge. Also, in the past the Sands would let you charge your fuel to your room but again not sure what the new management allows.

You have to go inside to pay. Cash or card should work. I say should because some cards will flag the purchase as fraud.

Speaking of fuel, Bimini Sands is preparing for our arrival!

We already called out bank and told them we are going to Bimini so they dont shut us down

Yeah we called and put a travel alert on the card. I opened a new Bank of America card - got 40,000 points for booking the condo and using the card = 400$ for free.

Pay it off next month. Gonna enjoy my vacation, been way to long :)

I emailed Marci @ Sands. Lets see what the horses mouth says.

The US reservations office and the marina management are completely separate.

The fuel dock at Bimini Sands accepts credit cards.

In Marsh Harbour last week - cash price was $4.90/gallon. Card price was $5.20. It's a hefty surcharge, carry cash if you can.

Wishing everyone a safe trip. Tow safe and don't listen to your GPS if it tries to reroute you onto a parkway (I learned the hard way).

Timing did not work this year but plan to do this next year.

Have fun.

I'm planning to leave from NY tomorrow at 4AM down I95. I will be on the lookout for any Yamaha jet boats heading that way as well. I plan to drive straight to Orlando to stay with family then continue to Ft Lauderdale on Saturday. I have a Bahia Mar slip reserved for 7/8 - 7/10 so I plan to explore the waters of the ICW...
