Is what it says for me...
You must be looking at the Fly More bundle. I was linking just the Mavic Pro. I think the other stuff is a bit overpriced compared to deals you can get now and just buy the extras yourself.

Of course I am looking @ that :)

But maybe you should let me fly yours and then my decision will be easier :)

I was looking for a p4 pro on Craigslist last night and saw quite a few p4 and p3p/a available starting at $400. Great deal compared to the new price of $1,300 and what I sold my p3a for just a few months ago, $500. Just something to think about if you are on the fence regarding the Mavic. Also note that there is more to buy than just the Mavic, like at least one spare battery and a compatible tablet of you don't already have have one, memory card, case, etc. some of the kits I saw last night have it all but you have to live with the phantoms size.

Wow that is really good. They are still $500-600+ here. The size of the Phantom just makes it a showstopper for me. I didn't use mine as much as I wanted because it was so hard to transport.

There were Mavic batteries on sale yesterday for $71 new but I haven't burned through one in an outing yet. I was really torn and when I went to order one they were out of stock. 25ish minutes per charge is pretty good as it is.

@0627Devildog , nice video , I wish mine looked that good. Did you use track or follow me? My Mavic won't engage those functions that close to the boat and when it does Engage it often loses the boat even when there is nothing else around or the boat is going less than 20mph.

The first section of the video before the first fade away cut was all done with "Follow Me", you can see me in the Black shirt with one hand on the controller just watching to ensure it was working properly. That said, we were surfing at 10mph. . . . and I have not tried follow me at any faster speeds. Though I do believe you can set a speed range for follow me mode. For faster applications maybe you have to toggle sport mode?

I got the "fly more package" with mine when my wife bought it for my birthday . . . . . 3 Batteries at 25 mins each is more then enough flying for an outing.

@0627Devildog , thanks for the quick reply. I like the Mavic sport mode because it can keep up with the boat in sport mode but sport mode disables all of the advanced flight modes. In the video I just posted (which was not sped up/compressed at all) I was in sport mode whenever the Mavic was close to the boat as it was moving fast so I had to control it manually which only adds to the stress of flying an expensive toy over water.

I would think as long as you have the height set to a few feet above the boat this shouldn't be an issue, no? How close are you looking to get?

I don't know if any of you are concerned about crashing into the water and having your drone sink but if you are and haven't found a solition yet I recommend one or two of these. I tried the float balls but they slowed the Mavic down quite a bit. By the way until recently I used parts of pool noodles to keep my phantoms afloat in the event of a water landing.

I would like to get within 15' (out and/or up) of the subject. That is,
I want to see and film the looks of fear and elation in my subjects' eyes.

Sometimes I can get the advanced features to activate at 10' to 15' up other times it's closer to 30'.

Hmmm. . . . I will have to play with mine this weekend when I get back to the lake.

@0627Devildog I am very interested in what you come up with. Thank you for reporting back on that first portion of your video. Those are the applications I would use if I were to buy a Mavic and your perspective is helpful. Perhaps you could consider a little 'how to use the Mavic to shoot surfing' video for us.

Great pics and interesting camp ground/boating area.

Saw this guy in your pics..... he seems a little confused on how the ramp works :)
