Its rained for 3 days now. Went out last night to check the changing room to see if sealing the drains as well as installing the drain plugs help and in deed it did. NICE AND DRY!!!!
Miracles never cease!

Good news. Thanks for sharing

Update:

This is another route for water into the changing room. This is concerning for those that park it outside or wash the area down heavily. The water comes through the bow hatches where you have storage and then through a hole into the changing room. Don't know if I'm gonna try and plug this up, if even possible.

When I was trying to locate my water source I did notice that. Prior to plugging the bow seat post hole that's where I noticed the water coming from those channels in the changing room.

I just climbed out of the changing room a minute ago. It's actually designed to channel the water in there. I guess the intent is to have the water then flow out of the drain in the very bottom of the room. Strange design. If you go down there you'll see it's asymmetrical.

On another note: I figured out how that water collects under the battery tray below the flooring. It enters the screw holes that were not sealed. The dealer is taking care of that while I try to dry it out by wicking.

At least my bilge is dry!

I noticed it was designed that way. Just seems to me they could have routed water to a different location other than an area that serves as a changing/ storage area.

You would think. Rather than try to re-route it, I'm thinking of just putting a towel there since it's a storage area. The only water getting in there now is what use to wash down the deck after a salt-water adventure. A towel should be enough to keep it from collection in the changing area till I'm down cleaning the deck.
On another note:
I proved my theory that the screw holes are the culprits for collection of water under the deck. This morning I vacuumed about 4 ozs of water from under the deck. It did not refill...a good thing. Now I have a fan and dehumidifier in there. However, I thought about what would happen if I placed positive pressure under the deck. Voila! Water popped out of the screw holes! That's a manufactured defect. Once it's simply sealed up though with silicone, the problem will be fixed. Poor QC!
Here is a sequence of three shots. From pre-positve pressure to the bubbles and water coming out.

If you take the white shrouds off that hide the fuel tank inside of the closet, you can use marine grade sealant and seal from the bottom to the top of the tank. That will be your answer to a DRY closet. Also, you'll need to seal all of the instruments on the helm to prevent water from leaking in.

I noticed that too when I removed those dividers. They were poorly installed in the first place. I was cleaning out the collected water and marine gunk from the past year that had settled into those two low spots on either side of the drain furthest aft. Since I park my boat in the garage, the only real source of water coming down on the console has been when I wash it. There's always some way for it to get in there!

My boat is now one year old, so I took it back to my dealer for some minor warranty issues and, of course, water leakage in the center storage area. Checking in with the service manager after ten days, I learned they were communicating with Yamaha regarding drainage issues. I told them to keep the boat till they fixed the issue. Stay tuned.

I've posted quite a bit about water into the changing room and also notified my dealer. What I discovered was that the dealer knew absolutely nothing about the ways water was getting into the changing room. In fact, one of the routes for water can not even be fixed because it was designed that way:

1 - Water entering through the anchor drain hole - Fixed by me
2 - Coming up through the drain holes in the bottom of the changing room. The drain plugs are not siliconed to the hull - Fixed by me
3 - Water coming in from the front hatches and draining into the changing room - This CAN NOT be fixed. If any water gets into the front storage area, it drains aft and into a small opening on the port side of the changing room, where the batteries would normally be stored for a trolling motor. My belief is the design was for water to enter the storage area for any number of reasons and it has to drain somewhere, right? So, it goes to the route that leads into the changing room, and from there, you can drain it out through the drain plugs.

Again, the dealer is not educated on this. So, you can always put a towel down there near the very front of the changing room to collect the water if you've done the other fixes. The only water that gets in the storage area for me is either fresh water from a wash down, through the pedestal hole, or from fenders that are wet and that's where I store them.

Other than that, there will always be a way for water to drain out of the storage area and into the changing area. It has to otherwise it would just collect and slosh around there, which is not good. Bad design, but good intentions I guess.

I have also repaired items #1&2, but still get water leaking into the center changing area. I suggested to my dealer to add a bilge pump to the bottom of the changing room floor if they can not find where this water is coming from. They said they would discuss options with Yamaha on how to fix this issue. I said keep the boat until you fix it. Still waiting...

Did any of the water come from the forward storage? Maybe after a wash down, rain, wet objects in storage? I used a dry erase marker and made lines around the interior of the changing room. When water entered it erased those places where water entered. From there is how I discovered the water coming in from the forward storage.

My boat is still at the dealer, but that is a great idea. I'll try it when I get the boat back.

After 2+ weeks at the dealer, and unable to find where the water comes from, they have decided to install a bilge pump in the bottom of my center storage area (dealer will pay for pump install). Should pick it up early next week. Will report any progress soon.

I have fixed all the spots and everyone else has also but the first place I found mine leaking was the T-top bolt holes through the deck that was the majority of the leaks on my boat but the anchor Locker was definitely leaking to but regardless you're going to get some water inside the boat and Fish rod holders for an instance are big holes you pretty much got to take the whole boat apart and reseal anything they put silicone on that's what I'm finding out. I guess the fishing rod holders you could probably put PVC pipes going through the front and screw them in and put caps on them so they Don't leak.

Curious where they are going to install it without messing up the use of the room? The lowest part is where you stand. Did they tell you where they're going to place it? Though this will suction up the water, the main thing is keeping it out of there in the first place. The two fixes you made plus keeping that drainage area from the storage lockers to the front will help a lot. But, as Van T says, the fishing rod holders can be a culprit too! It's a big strainer with a marine engine attached ;)
Safe travels.

Agree with @Grover70. You're probably not going to like that pump sitting in the bottom of the changing room. I'm thinking you're going to end up with a Joe Bob dealer attempt to make you go away.
  1. The pump will be in the way if you want to add a porta-potty
  2. The pump will not keep the floor "dry" but rather only keep the excess water out only to about a 1/2" deep.
Just my two cents.

I would like to use my center storage area/changing room for storage. Don’t need a porta potty, as I live on my lake. 2+” on the floor of a boat is 2” too much.

Another friend of mine suggested adding an aerator and calling it a livewell! I think that idea has some merit.

I've not really had much of an issue with water in that area. Maybe a 1/4 inch from time to time. And that's been if I forget to install the plug into the front chair mount. It's been rare.
