AR210 runs at 44 mph at WOT at least at my elevation here in SE Michigan. The SeaDoo is about 800lbs lighter give or take, if I recall the spec sheet on it. I would estimate midish to possible high 40's on the Seadoo, but how the hull handles would be a big factor.

4 weeks to our boat show here which should be massive at the Metro Park on Lake St. Clair. We are going to go and look around, take pictures and grab info on everything we can.

I'll wait few yrs... they look like the same material as the spark's hull which has been known to crack and it is unrepairable...
As a previous owner of a spark, I have never heard this. Those things would take a beating and be fine. It is pretty thick plastic, seemed much stronger than fiberglass. In either case, replacing one would be relatively easy I would think.

Has anyone heard any info on speed/range of these things?

They're in the price range of a decent 22-24ft Tri-toon with a 150 on it. Those will run around 30-35mph depending on setup, and have 30-40gal tanks on relatively efficient outboards. Neighbor got his 24ft Berkshire with a 150 for ~$40k in '18. A Switch is similar size/shape/price.

I would think the Switches need to have similar performance at the minimum. Would like to see somewhere in the 40's with the 230HP on the 21ft.

What does an AR210 run? @HangOutdoors has one. That is similar HP and length to a switch, although obviously hull shape is quite different. Looks like an SX210 runs around 44mph according to boattest.com.
The spec sheet says 44MPH for the 21ft 230. Has 29 gallon gas tank. If it does reach that speed then it’s faster then my 2012 Yamaha AR210 and my AR250 goes about 45 so it’s about the same.
I’m really considering selling my 250 and getting a 21ft with a 230. MSRP on it with the options I want is around $37500. Not too much off on price of yamahas 19ft boats and cheaper then the 210 series.

I guess another factor would be the burn rate. GPH and range could be a limiting factor as well. Did anyone see the info on those things? Surprised BoatTest.com hasn't reviewed it.

I can second this. The spark can take a beating. The only issue I’ve ever heard is some of the internal foam breaking up. But that seems rare and doesn’t apply to the switch. The ACE motor has become more reliable then the previous BRO motors.

So with it being a closed system if you live on the water you can let this thing sit in the water year-round, salt water or not correct? Salt water I’m guessing you would get barnacles on the nano tech bottom but could clean it up on trailer few times a year.

I hope my wife doesn’t suggest we replace our yamaha boat or Waverunners with a switch of any size. I need to look at who is on the title for each. CA is a community property state but I refuse to trade in my boat or waverunner(s?) for a pontoon boat of any kind. By analogy I would not trade a sports car or sport bike for minivan.

We’ll it’s the same engine that’s in the GTR and a couple other sea food and those burn at WOT 18gph. Unless it has a different tune than that’s what I’d expect.

Just need a spare modular fuel tank or two to fit into the tile system.

perfect for the Bimini crossing

She can just buy it, now you have both.

My plan is to buy the 21 cruise with the double Bimini and camper, then see if I need anymore chairs or seats after we use it. Me purchasing this is contentment on a test drive and it does what they say it does . My dealer told me they are getting to drive them in a couple weeks.
I'm looking forward to your thread after you see them in person. :winkingthumbsup"

One thing about the camper enclosure is that in the video I don't see any screen panels. There probably need to be two included for some cross ventilation with the whole enclosure up.

I think the Sea-doo modular tank is only 4 gallons, a nice size for the PWC but likely a bit small for the Switch. Sea-doo says not to stack them, but I wonder if you can?

One also might be able to get a larger, non Sea-doo tank, and fabricate a mount for the LinQ. I know I have seen videos of folks making their own mounts for non Sea-doo coolers for their PWCs.

I definately would like to see a video of the Switch in rougher water. Being a tri-hull it should help, but I have my doubts.

She could but she won’t. We have a process for large purchases (anything over $1k). Besides, if I’m not on board with the idea she would have to learn how to hook up, tow, launch and recover the boat by herself, not going to happen.

water still runs thru the exhaust. So you would want to be concerned about that.

I cannot believe in this day in age the boat companies don’t have 3rd party reviews release with the announcement like the car companies do. This really misses a ton of marketing.

44 for the 21 is pretty good, my AR190 only goes 35.
