The $100 a day in gas isn't exactly fun, though.
I would take that. Pulling tubes all day basically kills my tank for close to $200 :(

If the cost of gas is an issue, you can't afford a boat.
I think I burned about 30 gallons the day we went from Long Beach to Newport. That makes for an expensive lunch.
I do miss our old Wellcraft when it comes to fuel. It had a Ford inline 4 cyl. We could pull the wakeboard all day on like $25 worth of fuel.

Got caught in a insane storm. Went from nice to a severe storm in minutes. Bilge probably pumped out 25-30 gallons, winds 40-50mph. As much as I have hated on my boat for the drive shaft issue she kept the the wife, kids, and in laws safe, it was actually kind of fun, water was much warmer than the rain, but the lightning kept us from going in for than a quick a pee break.

Lighting is no joke, a tree on my property got a direct hit a few days ago. It blasted strips of bark off and threw it over 60 feet away. It traveled through the ground went up another tree and shattered a Solar panel that powered a camera, it threw the panel 40 feet away. Fried the antennas on the camera. Traveled through the ground and fried my low voltage landscape light wiring over 150 feet away, melted a section on led Edison string lights 75 feet away, burnt out a solar powered fountain pump that was floating in water 50 feet away.
Could have been worse. Total cost to replace everything damaged was only 300 bucks give or take. Everyone on my neighborhood called and asked if we were ok. Cause it was loud and close20210820_194824.jpg
That is the backside of the blown out solar panel that was thrown. Its burnt up completely

First time cruising at night last night. The moon was full and the main channel at LOTO was smooth. Found this around the 12MM.

Went to the Mississippi again today and decided to take L out for her first cruise in the Yamaha. She played the entire time we were out, got on the mat with the kids and enjoyed the cruising. Another great day on the water.

The last outing on the lake.
I tend to spend more time in the ocean with the other boat, but this last weekend reminded me how much fun we have on the lake!

We got a used MDX to tow our Waverunners around and tried it out for the first time this past weekend. I got my gp 1800 r up to
66 mph twice.

No pic but I also saved the stern of my wife’s pwc from drifting hard into a dock near the boat ramp (she basically pulled up parallel to the dock soon after I did and killed the engine so her skis tail was drifting quickly towards the dock). When I saw what was happening/ about to happen I quickly tied down my ski fast walked to hers took a knee and stopped her ski from striking the dock. This all happened with 15 seconds or less. Right after I finished a small group of people next to the dock started clapping and the lead said, “we made a bunch of signs and are setup to rate people as they launch and recover, we don’t have a sign for you that was F’ing awesome. He went on for a few seconds which embarrassed my wife, it made my day. My only regret is not being able to record what he said. Here are some pics from the day. 2BDE8601-8259-49D9-9584-8CF0DF21E06E.jpeg647C94AA-7B6A-4FCD-9CF1-1DE6B007DFB6.jpegCE6BA66A-EEC6-4DB3-98C0-5AAEB78C5D8C.jpegCD86B885-1BEC-43CB-83D5-29AB2F46C754.jpeg8958796B-D207-46D9-920A-C04DE1C459E8.jpeg5C29B555-C895-49F2-BD62-6E840D798C93.jpeg
