Finally broke her in, now upgrades and build

@jocolo21 thanks for sharing the pics. Any thoughts on advantages of mounting the speakers below the bar vs mounting them above the bar, like they come on the 255? Just personal preference? I'm not sure I'll add tower speakers any time soon, but if I do I kind of like the idea of mounting them above the bar (once less thing for me to bang my head on!) but didn't know if there were disadvantages to mounting them like that.

Also today i was able to route the wiring for speakers and rgb thru the tower, what a pita, way easier on the 242lse. Since the tower on the 252 is completly different i installed the jl8.8 on the first pipe from the back unlike on the old 242, the front pipe hang right over my head when siyyinh on the helm. The wiring was routed on the fron tube then crossove to the rear using the x members where the tower light are. Then i routed the rgb podt side speakers on the starboard side.

What are those hydraulic cylinders? Does that tower fold on its own?

I have always maounted this way i believe its the firat year yamaha has mounted over the bar, the tower is pre driller for the sound bar

Amp are connected 2 jl 700\5 and a wetsound eq, had to use a 2ch audio controller to convert the speaker wires to rca, it was actually pretty easy, mounted everything to a playwood boar 24x20 everything prewired then mounted it to the boat, once the i staryed splicing wires one by one , all markings are on the stock ws amp. Which i have 2 of those brand new for sale is anyine wants to add another oem wetsound amp to their boats.

Seablaze x2 installed in the 252 theres 2 extra accesories bottoms all you need is a mele connector and done

Well done mods. I have had all winter to contemplate mods and I can't wait to get started! Now, will it snow again or not??? :-)

If I get a vote, I would vote 'not', please.

How much did the 2 underwater lights cost to buy? How hard to install? I’m not very tech savvy. Thanks

Did the exact same thing for my anchor locker. 3/8” thru hull. Thats how it should be from the factory. Not some plastic bs that dumps in the bilge.

So from yhe back remover the clean out port cover and you will have access to places to run your wires to the front, i ran 2 to the batteries side where i installed a fuse\nrgative buss. And ran another to the captain side all the way to the on\off accessories switch , where you will see 2 female empty plugs , those are the extra yamaha place for adding lights etc.
