Trip to Siesta Key in May, looking for tips for good places from those who have been.

We spent a week down there with our boat. Rented a house on the canals in siesta. Awesome trip! Favorite place to eat by boat was the dry dock restaurant on longboat key.

Impeller and drive shaft. front seals between impeller & duct. REPLACEMENT EXPLAINED

I encountered the exact same problem the last time that I had my pumps out. The one side slid in like butter and the other side took what seemed like forever to get back in. Just keep working it. Make sure there are no visible dings on the splines and not too much grease, just a light film...

    Recommend trailer hitch/ball mount?

I have been using this style for many years. A little pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion. The rubber cushioning inside the tube absorbs the annoying clunk that usually happens when accelerating from a stop. Great design. Convert-A-Ball AM-SC-4 Cushioned Ball Mount - 4" Drop...

That's a Beauty! Congrats! It's hard to beat the quality of a cobalt.

    Clicking from ecu

Hi y’all I’m asking this for another fellow Yamaha owner. He has a 2005 sx230ho. One engine won’t start. He says there is a noticeable clicking sound from the ecu box behind the motor when he turns the key. The other engine starts fine. I was thinking bad ground, solenoid, or starter. Any help...

    Just picked up a 2005 SX230 - oil light on I think

I would like to add another strong vote for using conventional oil. I usually always use synthetic in all my toys and vehicles but when I made the switch on my sx230 I developed some leaks. So, I switched back and the leaks have been slowly going away.

My SX230 Trim Tab and Electrical System Install

With reference to your controller for the tabs, I just finished my install last month and here’s where I mounted mine. I’ve been out a few time now and I’m very happy with the location. Easy to reach, sitting or standing.

    Finally!!!

The kit from Lectrotab which includes the tabs, actuators, and controller was $715. I figure that I have between $250/$300 in additional supplies for the install. Wiring, fuse panel, switch panel, hardware, etc.

    Finally!!!

Well, I finally finished installing my Lectrotabs that I purchased almost a year ago! I just kept procrastinating the act of drilling so many holes below the waterline, lol! We tested them out last weekend and WOW, what a difference. When we started out the water was smooth as glass and I was a...

    Spontaneous LONG tow

I've towed my boat down there but we rented a place with a boat lift on a canal for a month. I don't think that I would have done it for only a ten day stay. Eats up too much of your vacation time with prep, cleaning, etc.

New SR230 Owner and Need Some Assistance

Wow! Congrats on the new boat! Looks like the previous owner really took care of it. I'm going on 13 years with mine and still love it more than any other boat I have been in. I use Vaseline on the clean plugs and it has never failed me.

Where do you draw the line? <shoes & pets>

I used to be crazy about everything but lately I have just been stressing the no shoes rule and I keep eight fresh white bath towels for everyone to sit on and those are the only towels allowed on board. Haven't had any staining issues since adopting the white towel policy. Lol.

    Tesla Truck? No thanks....

It's going to look perfect towing one of these! Lol
