    How to value my boat

I have decided to part with my 2018 242 Limited SE. My question is how to value and sell the boat. It has less than 80 hours and is extensively modified with Lectrotab trim tabs, CobraJet fins to make it run strait, a Garmin GPS/Fishfinder in console. It is black and white. I live in Cape Coral...

Pee hole overheat incident, need advice

So I got under the boat and the intakes were clean. Ran weedeater string about 4 feet into pissers, put the boat in the water, started up and had good stream out both holes. Still had a light but it went away soon as the engines came on. Put it back on the lift disconnected batts for 1/2 hour...

Pee hole overheat incident, need advice

2018 242 LSE, 70 hours, went motoring in skinny weedy water today. Coming home got overheat warning and no pee on starboard engine. Limped home on port motor, about an hour. Put it on the lift, opened up the ports and both were clean as a whistle (left port was full of warm water, right port...

    Cleaning Glass

Anyone have a "secret formula" for glass? Windex streak streak streak. Invisible glass streak streak streak. I live in a salt water environment. Thinking of using a dilute solution of Salt Away mixed with vinegar. I live in a salt water environment. Thoughts?

    Jet Boat Steering Assist

I've had both TV and CJ on different Yamaha jet boats. Both provide excellent handling at slow speed. CJ does the same on plane. Short answer, go with CJ, you won't be sorry. As for the different iterations Jeff is modifying them all the time, call Jeff: jeff-w@cobrajetsteering.com or (727)...

    Mildew on seats

Has anyone ever tried chlorine on their vinyl to get rid of the mildew? I use half strength pool chlorine on my composite deck and it melts black mold in about 15 seconds. Would it also melt my vinyl?

    Marine Fuel

So I'm boating more now and noticing the fuel at marina is running $3.50 and it's $1.70 everywhere else (Florida). Is there any difference in the fuel? Anybody got any ideas besides lugging 10 cans down to the dock in my backyard?

    Anchor pins?

I know this has been addressed some time in the past but who has experience with poles or pins? We boat in skinny water frequently < 6ft and wondering about a short term solution to anchoring on seagrass, mud, when we haul kayaks, etc. Thanks for any suggestions.

    West Marine Salt Away

Maybe the reason aren't very successful is their egregious markup? I have no problem paying an extra 10 or 15% extra for same day service but 40%? I won't go back into that store. However, I'm a free-markup guy and I certainly support their right to ask those prices, for me the morals of it...

    West Marine Salt Away

So I ran out of Salt Away today and needed some so I broke down and went to West Marine, $75 for a gallon after tax. So I thinking, that' a little high. Get home and check on Amazon (I have Prime) and guess what? $45 no tax or shipping. Jeesh!!
