Looking for feedback from those who have, or had a 2012-16 21 footer and have went the route of removing the OEM carpet snaps and installing SeaDeck. Are any of the OEM snap mounting points not covered by the standard SeaDeck cockpit kit?

I came across this post, and it looks like on the 24ft’s there are some snap holes that are not covered by the kit, and going the route of 4200/5200 leads to yellowing. I’m trying to determine if I need to go ahead and order the spectrum paste kit...

Thanks for the feedback. What did you use to cover the holes? I think I am leaning towards 3M 4000UV, as states it will not yellow.

I’ve ordered a small tube of this, will report back. Going to start with an inconspicuous hole first and see how it goes. Mr Bezos says it’ll be delivered Monday.

I installed the SeaDeck cockpit kit this past spring and couldn't be happier. Threw my carpet away as I would never go back. Most, but not all of the holes from the snap screws were covered. Prior to installing I filled all of the holes with the white Marine-Tex from west marine. I'm happy with the results and really like the SeaDeck material. I spent a lot of time thinking about this before hand and would suggest pick the 3M or Marine-Tex and just go for it. You'll be happy.

I would/will/have use(d) 3M 4000-UV to fill open screw holes. I have used a couple of 10oz. tubes and a 3 oz. tube to fill factory screw holes and to adhere the teak to the gelcoat, no screws, in the cockpit of our 1991 Beneteau. Great stuff to use above the waterline and UV-resistant.
