I found this beauty online. Someone upgraded their 242x with new JBL speakers, added a 10 woofer, and (most importantly) added zone control at the helm to control volume between tower, boat, and woofers. I found this because I have a friend that has the Wet Sounds 4 band level controller on a pontoon and I was looking for that application in a Yamaha.

Yamaha Upgrade - Extreme Audio

Pretty sick!

Zone control has always been great for setting up the stereo system especially with dedicated speakers for water sports and using different types of speakers. My system started with a sound bar that I picked up from another member so I used an eq hooked to each front and rear Giving 4 zones and 2 sub woofer zones. It sounds amazing and is easy to tune by ear

Cabin EQ is from american Bass I can fade out the bow speakers when some passengers don't like do be blown away

tower and swim deck are controlled by the wet sounds and the PA only plays out of those speakers when used

the eq allows the wet sounds sound bars and 6.5'' speakers to keep the low frequency down

The JL880 have their own channel with more mid base

It was to much to remember so all wires were labeled and I put a general layout of the system

Phase II is complete adding the JL 500/1 hooked up to JL 10W7
