I am curious about timing too. I’m first in line for an AR250 and was told it would probably be winter some time. With some boats already being delivered, is this normal? We were cut from the 2021 list, so we’ll take it when we get it, but I was thinking that post-8/17, boats would start rolling out relatively quickly. Maybe not?
As a reminder for folks that haven't lived through this marketing nightmare before, Yamaha has two totally different systems called drive...specifically 1) 'Yamaha Drive Control', and 2) 'DRiVE'. It's the second one (DRiVE) that is the dual paddle shifter system. That's the one to look for on the website, in the brochure, etc. if you're looking for the dual paddle shifter system. To my knowledge, no FSH boats had the DRiVE dual paddle system last year and none have it this year. They might look to add that option in 2023.
Maryland. We got on the list back in May.where you at?
Nice. We are 3rd also for a 252sd yacht blue. Ohio. Good luck!Maryland. We got on the list back in May.
I'm not entirely sure what all "Yamaha Drive Control" encompasses (I don't think anybody knows exactly), but it's stuff like the GPS-controlled cruise control, tow sports acceleration profiles, stuff like that. If you do a search on this website specifically (rather than just a Google search) for "Yamaha Drive Control" you should find some posts where it was being discussed last year around this time. What is the Yamaha Drive Control then. I know that DRiVE is the paddles, but when I searched "yamaha drive control" only info on DRiVE comes up. What kind of clown in the marketing department approved those naming conventions.
Maybe its the different Idle speeds? "No wake mode" maybe.I'm not entirely sure what all "Yamaha Drive Control" encompasses (I don't think anybody knows exactly), but it's stuff like the GPS-controlled cruise control, tow sports acceleration profiles, stuff like that. Drive control is the paddles behind the steering wheel that controls slow moving docking.I'm not entirely sure what all "Yamaha Drive Control" encompasses (I don't think anybody knows exactly), but it's stuff like the GPS-controlled cruise control, tow sports acceleration profiles, stuff like that. Yeah, I think that's part of it, too.Maybe its the different Idle speeds? "No wake mode" maybe.
Read the posts above for more on the story. Yamaha Drive Control is not the same thing as DRiVE (the paddle shifters). That's what we're talking about...worst marketing ever to have two totally different things with such similar names.Drive control is the paddles behind the steering wheel that controls slow moving docking.
Right paddle is forward and left paddle is reverse. Just like the drive control on the waverunners. Any boat with the "D" at the end of its model number has this
Pictures!?!FYI, just picked up a 2022 Watch Blue 195S (yes, with the awesome warm interior) from Cyclesprings in Florida
Barely fits in my garage... I need to bring that tower lower. Deflating tires is a pain ;-)
There you go! I need another 1.5in for it to fit without deflating tiresPictures!?!
Wake tower lower? Mine drops below the windshield level - I think. Wonder why yours doesn't go that low...
Thanks for sharing. It's definitely green inside!!! Like the blue 255X from last year, it's polarizing...some will love it, some will hate it. I think I like it actually, but tough to know for sure without seeing it in person. I think it was smart of them to make the door to the head black instead of green.I was able to secure some better photos of the lime green and white 255X for anyone interested.
Mine goes down ever so slightly more - maybe as much as an inch - to where the wake tower just hovers over the windshield rim, but I did forget about the rope mount/light. Does it unscrew? If it did, would it get you the clearance you are looking for? Also, I've heard that the support wire is somewhat adjustable, but I haven't got a clue as to how that would be accomplished. There you go! I need another 1.5in for it to fit without deflating tires

Agreed...but my first thought was "boy, that black is going to show scratches like crazy".I think it was smart of them to make the door to the head black instead of green.
The light clears the door, what doesn't are the "clips" for the Bimini top. I either remove them (then I'd scratch my tower) or deflate tires. I will try "extending" these cables and maybe try to lower the front of the boat when I back it up. I launched, docked and loaded without damaging anything yesterday. That was my VERY first time operating a boat and did everything with my wife. Loading the boat was scary asf lolMine goes down ever so slightly more - maybe as much as an inch - to where the wake tower just hovers over the windshield rim, but I did forget about the rope mount/light. My big challenge right now is picking out the color of my registration number to go on the hull. My 195S is the black with blue stripe, cool interior, and a white number seems too boring.
