27' new Yamaha model 275 jet boat to be unveil Thursday at the Miami Boat Show

I like the walk through. But wtf were they thinking with that front window???

I'm on the fence... my initial impressions are mixed. I'm not sure I'm into the window styling. It's different... I'm not sure if its on trend here like it is in the Asian market or trying to start a new trend. Its got to grow on me for a while. I'm also unsure of the seating with the long walk thru, its unique. I suppose time will tell. I'm interested in seeing more details and seeing one in person.

Do we think we sould expect similar styling cues when the next design of the 240/242 happens?

If the clean outs and thus jets are further forward (relative to the other models) but the swim platform still extends back pretty far (similar to a bolt on platform, just fiberglassed on), it would provide extra length and space but without adding as much wetted surface and drag.
Correct. But that also means this is not going to be a great wake surfing boat...

Ooooffff, no one loves Yamaha more than me but I’m not so sure about this one. Looks like this baby swings open too. I’m sure for a pooper.

Hopefully once everything is announced my ‘tude will change.
I think the head compartment is much much larger and the door swings open to the right/middle of the cabin.

I agree. Can’t wait to see specs and price. For me, 27’ bow rider comparison Sea Ray 270SDX @ $107k.

I found these shots in the PDF. What’s interesting is 3 pissers on port side. Why 3 and seems like should be on starboard. Solar on front of hardtop? Lounges look nice with flip seats.

Thanks for the pics!

This definitely looks like a 9ft beam... What a bummer.
Makes no sense... Who are they trying to target exactly? The seating capacity does not seem that much larger as compared to the 240... not exactly a party boat where you can cram a bunch of people and go surfing.
IDK.
I love the styling, actually, but with the large beam and those interior pictures - it does not look exactly very practical.

Noticing perhaps a few additional details

Who's gonna be the 1st person to put a post up asking for a fiberglass repair shop because their drunk friend stepped on that ugly fin in the back20190212_070017.png

Compared to the scarab 255, it looks like the extra 2’ of the Yamaha is in the rear lounge seats. Scarab is advertising the 255 for <$60k now.

That was mean. 30 seconds of my life I will never get back. I'm sure it will seem funny later, but I'm too sad to see how funny it was! (only half kidding...)
If it makes you feel better; over 5 million people have been rickrolled. Consider it a rite of passage.

(But I believe forum protocol now requires me to dislike all your poasts)

I wonder if the swim platform seat backs pivot back and forth? It’s deffinately different. The boat interior cabin doesn’t really have a back. It’s all open with the walk through and the seat cushion backs only. I’m a fan of boats with high gunwales and freeboard so you feel like you are sitting down in the boat. Not sure this boat will give that feeling, especially if sitting towards the back

If you look at the rear seatbacks, you can see the metal brackets that will allow the backrest to swing to the rear. The picture has it in its forward position.

These look like steps to me. I'm guessing this provides a step down from a dock, similar to what's on the current boats, only difference is that these make the boat go faster (wings)!

Its all fun and games till you kick that fin getting on the boat

I gotta say, this boat isn't really doing anything for me. I'll withold judgement until we can see full interior appointments, but there's a lot of other boats in this size and expected price range that tickle my fancy more.

I thought hard about using the dislike... but I could not use funny yet, it hurt too much!!! Specially because I kept watching for another 5 seconds going.. WTH..Where's the boat? What is this? Will it start soon?? I've been DUPED! DARN!

$60k 255 for the bare bones, no tower, twin 150, 4 speakers, single battery.

Watersports package is a instant $8k... built the way I'd want it, $94k.

Insane prices

Insane prices

They are. I looked at several boats at the boat show a few weeks back and all new boats have insane prices lol! I looked at all the premium wake boats, and their lower priced point entry level boats. Supra/Moomba, Tige RZX/R series, Mastercrafts, etc etc. Similar to car industry with Lexus/Toyota, Honda/Acura etc. There is a big difference between the lower tiered boats and the ultra expensive premium boats. The entry level boats feel bare and plain after crawling around in the $120k boats. They are still over $70k -$80k though. That being said I feel like the Yamaha's feel pretty nice on the inside for the price when comparing to other boats in the same price range. The new 242x looked great and felt high end on the inside. Performing on the water and wake sports is a whole separate conversation!

The base model is... a bargain. Really, at $56k OTD. Albeit with the 150hp motors I don;t know how well it would throw a surf wave at your altitude.
