There's no settings in the Connext for depth. If you're updated your maps then in deeper water you won't see blue contours, just white to show deep water levels. I think it's around 40 feet or deeper that it shows white, and then progressively darker blue levels down to the darkest blue at around 9 ft depths. If you look at the second pic in my post, you'll see the max depth in the river near Gananoque is listed at about 35 feet so it's light blue, and as you get closer to the land (yellow) the contours get darker blue. Stay out of the darkest blue areas and you should be in 9+ feet of water.

I'll have to pay more attention to that next time out. I have noticed any changes in the map no matter the depth or location. I've run in water 15-100+ and see no difference. In regards to my depth gauge, it won't read deeper than 100ft.

Finally after lots of delays due to the scamdemic I got the plotter installed yesterday. I took the entire black dash panel out and intended to use a router to cut the opening but forgot that the studs would be in the way of the router base. Ended up using a dremel and took it slow - forgot to take pics as usual. I ran into a problem disconnecting the Connext screen as it has a molex connector with a lever lock - hadn't seen one of those but after looking closely at it, the small tab in the grey lever releases and it just lifts up and pulls the connector up with it. Installed the dash back and checked for clearances, then popped the Axiom in, wired in with the 12v plug and ziptied everything to relieve tension on the wires. Came out great even if I do say so myself.
Just needed a little wipe down after this pic to clean up some loose dust pieces and all good:

I do the majority of our boating on Lake Allatoona GA, I've noticed the south side of the lake the connext plotter shows colors for depth white down to dark blue. The north side no color change just light blue. I am assuming I need a update, I am in no hurry I know the lake like the back of my hand. My family and I just did a six day vac on Lake Lanier (another GA lake) and I used the chart plotter the whole time and it did have color on the entire lake. It was our first time on Lanier and the plotter was a huge help getting around the lake. It enabled us to explore without the fear of getting lost/turned around. Spent $420 just on fuel ?
