Launched the boat in conrow this past weekend, and the boat continued running in wake mode, tried to turn the switches on and of few times but no luck, recently I replace the speed gauge. Any ideas on what could be.
Typical problems like this are impeller and cavitation issues.
Any cavitation? If so, check the pump for debris. Also check to see if the sealing on the intake path is still there and good (no gaps, no hanging pieces of caulk, etc.). Everything should be smooth from outside the intake up to the impeller.
If not, you may have a chewed up impeller. Pull the pump and inspect.
Seems almost certain to be either cavitation or the reverse bucket hanging well down into the pump output path. Also, make certain your cleanout plugs are solidly seated. If they are anything other than properly seated, you will get a ton of cavitation and lose lots of thrust.
