Those that want to go to Sapona, meet at 1000 at the Blue Waters Marina (25° 43.478' N 79° 17.851' W). I’ll be fueling. Or, just meet us around 1030-1100 at Sapona. I’ll still be on Ch. 69.

Quick weather check shows rain till 1400, is that an issue?

How deep can you free dive? You want to go to reef areas with concentrations of fish. Deeper reefs have large fish.

The engine we named the Sharlun Reef at Lat: 25.702921 Lon: -79.251186 typically has multiple good sized lion fish.

Please be careful about sharks and bleeding fish.

If you want a great day of spear fishing hire Bimini Brown to be your guide. You can message him on Facebook or find him in the Marina. I believe he typically runs out 20 to 30 miles North or South.

I went 1.5 miles out by the antennas and caught a yellowtail. Majority of the time was feeding fish with bait. They’re quick and viscous out here.

Anyone have good fishing coordinates?

Sounds like you were fishing near the Three Sisters Rocks. Lots of small ones there. Harder to catch them.

You will find larger fish at deeper reefs.

Go by one of the conch shacks and buy their scraps for chum. You can wade in from the channel to make that a faster trip.

Tuna Alley 79º 17.952'W 25º 31.509' N was the best fishing experience that my family has had in Bimini. We caught three multiple pound yellow tail and even more 16"+ triggers there in about thirty minutes after chumming. There are three mooring balls in around 50' of water.

Take @AJack and put him in the chum stream to spear the big ones. But be careful of sharks!

While you are down there you should enjoy snorkeling the Victory Reefs.

I believe that Cat is closed to visitors. If you approach Cat radio the harbor master and ask for permission before entering. They might be closed or they might invite you in. There is a strict behavior and dress code. Only certain areas are open to visitors. After someone breaks the rule it is closed to visitors for months. The grocery store is well stocked at Miami prices and has bait. The boutique has great prices on Cat Cay merchandise.
